Gabe had been in the valley for some hours and would probably have to stay in Ioana pretty late. The train only made a stop in Westhaven of Friday's and holiday's after all. He had been the first one on the train earlier in the morning and would have to make sure he was back at the train station in time to ride the train back to Westhaven. He really didn't have any other way to get to Wrsthaven without the train. He didn't own a bike and he didn't have enough stamina to walk between the two places.

However there was no doubt in his mind that he would make it back in time. It wasn't like he was going to venture far from the train tracks. At the moment he was actually following the train tracks. Following the train tracks wasn't to hard, especially if he took his time. He followed the train tracks until he reached a meadow.

He came to a halt and looked around. Gabe remembered some residents talking about this place, if he remembered correctly there was a lake near by. Even though he couldn't swim, he had always wanted to see what a lake looked like. Though he often came to the lake, he actually hadn't had a chance to venture out this far yet. He had always been a little curious about the difference between a lake and the ocean.

The young teenager hesitated for a few seconds before veering away from the train tracks. He had always been good at finding his way back to places, so he wasn't really worried about leaving the train tracks behind him. He picked a direction at random, hoping it was the way to the lake. Often times he would get lucky when he did things like this.

After walking a big, he finally came across the lake. He moved closer to the water and noticed how smooth the surface was. Letting out a sigh he sat down at the edge of the lake and tilted his head back to gaze up at the sky. The sky was so blue and there was barely a cloud in side. Some clouds might have been a good thing though; since, it probably would have taken away from the heat a bit.

The lapping of Reza's tiny home made row boat was the only thing he could hear. There wasn't much activity on this lake, maybe not in this area of it anyway. He guessed with all the summer heat, no one would come to the lake, but maybe to the shore if anything. Which was great for him, this place was his little sanctuary. He sighed contently and plucked up his home constructed fishing rod. I wasn't much of one, not like the fancy ones you'd find in a big store or anything. It was a simply made casting rod that held nobs for fishing wire. The hooks were also made from left over metal that he'd been using and collecting. The last on the rod was his hand crafted and hand painted wooden bobber.

He tossed out the cast and watched it sail over head, and unto the lake's surface only three feet away from him. From there he waited until any sign of resistance was felt upon his hands. This process would repeat awhile until he landed a couple of catches, three to be exact. He was making bank today! Dinner would be delicious, and better than what he usually ate. His garden over the winter hadn't yielded enough for his tastes, and so with what little money he'd been saving, he had to stock up and buy from the town's store.

It was summer now, and his garden was flourishing, thank the heavens. Reza smiled to himself and tugged absently on his pole...however as he did so, his eyes mistakenly wavered toward the pond's edge. A kid of discernible age was seen...sitting. Was he ill or hurt? Damn. He tightened his grip on his pole, feeling a bit annoyed and concerned all at the same time. That feeling of his duties to care for someone that was so embedded within him, warred with his new solitary life style. In the end though his concern won out, and he quickly plucked up his oars to land. He muttered under his breath, frustrated with himself for even checking on the boy. His expression turned stern as he kept moving, mostly because he was just frustrated with himself, not anyone else.

As he neared his voice would call out, he was just a few feet away. "Hey kid, you alright?"

He rowed hard and only stopped once he knew he could glide on over toward the edge of the pond without an more effort. "You hurt or somethin'?"

Gabriel didn't notice that someone was on the lake. Of course he hadn't exactly gone out of his way to look around either. At moment he was just sitting there, lost in his own thoughts. He would often find himself wondering what it would be like if his family was still alive. If his family hadn't ended up falling apart. Though he knew he should hate his brother for what he did, he could never bring himself to hate his brother. There had been a time where his brother had been a good older brother.

He was so wrapped up in his thoughts that he didn't notice someone had spotted him and was heading his way. If he hadn't been lost in his on thoughts, he probably would have heard the sound of the boat moving through the water. "Hey kid, you alright?" A sound of another voice made him start in surprise, and he immediately dropped his gaze away from the sky and looked at the male. He didn't really recognize the older male, which wasn't really surprising since he really didn't know many people people in the valley.

"You hurt or somethin'?" Before he could respond to the males original question, Reza asked another question. He quickly regained his composure and decided to say something. "Ummm....yeah, I'm totally fine. I was just relaxing." He hoped the male didn't insist something was really wrong with. He didn't look to be in the best shape. It wasn't to hard to notice he had poor sleeping habits. "I wasn't disturbing you, was I?"
