Dean loved his weekends. They were the only two days off that he had each week, and he always used them the same. On Friday nights once he got off of work he would shower before heading out to the bar and finding some entertainment for the evening. Usually he would pick up a lady and go back to her place (never back to his, that was his rule). After spending a night there with her he would get up and falsly promise to call her before making his exit. It wasn't the most honest life style, but it was the one he lived. Who wouln't want every Friday to be just as wonderful as that?

Well after he would leave his companion's place on Saturday morning his next stop would be the bakery to get some sweets and drinks to go. Usually the man would get cookies or cupcakes or something that could satisfy a sweet tooth. Once all of that was packed away his next stop was the church.

No one ever understood why he went to the church every weekend. Some though (and hoped) that he was going to repent for his sins and change his ways. Dean laughed at the thought of doing so. If he decided one day to change his ways... Well that would be the day pigs flied now wouldn't it?

Instead Dean was going to visit his friend Odette and have lunch. He loved spending time with her, though she was busy running the church while he was always over in the mines. Saturday was the only day he really got to go and visit Odette, and he always liked to bring sweets for her. This time he chose chocolate chip cookies.

"Ooooddie~" Dean called as he made his way into the church, drenched from the rain. He didn't think to bring an umbrella with him the night before, and he would have felt bad stealing from his conquest. Instead the white haired man had to deal with wet clothes. Who knew, maybe Odette has a spare change.

"Oddie! I have cookies!" he added, continuing to use a nickname as he walked down the main isle of the church.

It was a rainy day, and she wasn't really expecting to do anything. The morning prayers were over with for her and she never really had anything else planned for her days when it was raining. There was nothing to do other than to stay in the church and make sure nothing caved in or the like. A lot of the time, Odette cleaned, she cleaned areas that were always clean, and she cleaned because she wanted an excuse to not go anywhere that was outside. It was always the same damn excuse for her, and everyone knew it, but they just didn't ask her.

She was out the back folding her robes for the millionth time when she heard a familiar voice echo through the otherwise empty church, and her previously neutral face broke into a wide smile. Now that was the sound of her favourite person in the whole world, even though she didn't particularly approve of her best friend's current lifestyle, he was still her best friend and that would never change. Nineteen years made a strong friendship, even with a girl who didn't like to talk to people.

"Dean!" she cried, flying out of her small room and into the main area of the church, before frowning at the soaked state of him. "You're soaking! Let me get you a spare shirt and a towel -" and with that she flew back out of the room back to the back to find him exactly what he needed and flew back out again. holding the materials out to him. "You need to remember an umbrella, really."

"Dean!" the man heard his favorite friend from a separate part of the church. It didn't take long for the girl to make an appearance, heading straight towards him. Dean chuckled and shook his head as he continued to walk towards her. Odette always had this energy about her whenever it was just the two of them, and the man couldn't help but smile during those times. She was different than the women that he slept with. It was a nice change of pace.

"You're soaking! Let me get you a spare shirt and a towel -"

"That's not... Alright." Dean started, but before he knew it his friend had run off to get the shirt and towel. He sighed and put down his bag, starting to unbutton his shirt so he could switch it out for the new one. The man barely got to unbutton four buttons before Odette returned with the shirt and towel.

"You need to remember an umbrella, really."

"Yes, Mom." Dean joked, taking the shirt and towel before sticking out his tongue at the young priestess. He placed them all aside and was going to continue unbuttoning his shirt, but another thought crossed his mind, causing a grin to form on his face.

"Though if I wasn't soaked I couldn't... give you a wet hug!" Dean told her, not even giving the girl a moment to react before pulling her into a bear hug. That was one of his favorite things about Odette; she was so short and tiny. He continued to squeeze the girl for a few seconds before finally letting her go. A grin continued to stay on his face as he finished unbuttoning his shirt and removing it, throwing it onto one of the pews before grabbing a towel.

"I would have brought an umbrella with me yesterday if I knew it was going to rain." Dean told her as he dried himself off. "Unfortunately I didn't stay at my place last night, and I couldn't steal one from my beautiful brunette friend now could I? We had so much fun..." he continued, tossing the towel to the side and grabbing the new shirt. Dean quickly pulled it over his head and onto his torso.

"You know we could have just as much fun in the back if you wanted, Oddie." Dean half joked, giving Odette a wink. He knew she would never consider that, ever. If his best friend actually agreed.... Well, Dean might as well become a pastor.

Odette knew that she was different around Dean, but that was because she had known him for long enough to be able to trust him. Perhaps she was still shy when they went out together and didn’t much like his socialising, but just the two of them was just fine. They could just hang out and be them at that point, because she was comfortable around him and they couldn’t change that fact, and no one else would be able to either. He was almost like a brother to her, in a way, but it was easy for her to get flustered around him with the words he said to her. He was just so inappropriate sometimes.

A roll of her eyes at the use of calling her mom, but that was no surprise. It was almost a common thing between the two of them because she was always checking that he was alright and eating properly and not making himself ill and all that jazz. But she had barely been able to respond before she squealed in surprise as he pulled her into a soaking hug with a laugh, because she probably could have expected that too. It was funny to Odette how she and her best friend were total polar opposites, but it made a nice change of pace to her. Thankfully not much water had transferred itself to her, so she could get away with it, even as she shook her head at him.

It didn’t surprise her much either to find out about his exploits the night before. It was a common update to hear the details of how many women he had been sleeping with as of late, but she couldn’t help the deep flush that came across her face when he suggested they do the same. “I’m glad you had fun, but I’d rather not, thank you,” she said as firmly as she could muster, despite her reddened face. “I won’t be doing that until I’m married. I’m a lady of the Goddess, remember?

Watching Odette's reactions was priceless. The girl had always been shy around others, but he could never get exaggerated reactions out of her unless if they were alone. It was cute the way her face turned red when he mentioned having some fun with her in the back, his favorite tease of all. Dean knew that she would never agree, which made it more amusing to him when her face turned red. A smirk formed on his face at her red cheeks.

“I’m glad you had fun, but I’d rather not, thank you."

"Aww, are you sure, Oddie? You know how much practice I've have." he teased her a little bit more. He couldn't help but laugh at how serious she was trying to be while her face was so pink. Did the priestess not adjust to his teases by this point? Guess not. Same old Oddie...

“I won’t be doing that until I’m married. I’m a lady of the Goddess, remember?”

"I know, I know. You know you're my favorite to tease." Dean laughed. He reached into his bag and pulled out the cookies, lucky that the baker had put them in a plastic container. The white haired man held them up for his friend to see.

"I brought you cookies! The bakery was on my way here so I thought I'd grab some." Dean explained, opening the container and grabbing a cookie for himself before handing the rest to Odette. He took a bite of the sweet, the chocolate and baked dough melting in his mouth. They were almost as good as the ones his mother made.

"Want to have lunch? I haven't eaten at all today besides these cookies, and I know you are the best cook out of the two of us." Dean suggested. He always went to Odette when he wanted a meal but didn't want to spend money, unable to cook for himself.

Even though she had been friends with Dean for years and was the most comfortable around him than everyone else, she could never really get used to his teases even though they had been used plenty of times on her before. It was something that always threw her off and he always managed to get the best of reactions out of her because of it. Simple to say, she just wasn't used to the lewd teases and all the mentions of sex simply because she never had and refused to experience it until the right time. perhaps it was bad and embarrassing, but it was the truth.

She shook her head as firmly as she could, trying to make the colour in her cheeks dissipate without much success. For the most part, and kudos to her, she could be serious when she was embarrassed, but it was harder to do around her best friend simply because he was her best friend, and she found it hard to stay serious around him for too long simply because he just wasn't a serious person.

Odette couldn't help but smile when he pulled the container of cookies out of his bag, because it was such a typical thing of him to do - tease her half to death and then pull cookies out of his bag. He wasn't exactly the healthiest of eaters, but what could you do. She tried her best to make him eat a bit better, but sometimes nothing could be done about it and it was that simple. She took the box and took a cookie for herself, biting into it and smiling at the taste. Fresh cookies were her favourite.

"I can cook something quickly! I won't be long," she nodded, not really minding that he borrowed her cooking skills for lunch. It was much easier than going out, and she preferred that any day.

"I can cook something quickly! I won't be long."

"That's alright. I don't mind waiting." Dean grinned. He never minded waiting for Odette's cooking. Dean would wait all day if he had to for her to make something for him, and he actually had at least once on a day that she hadn't been home. Not being able to cook for himself came with some challenges, but that was why he had his sister and Odette. When he didn't want to go out to eat he could always rely on one of them to help him out.

"So... Aren't you supposed to be out and doing... Priestess things? Like praying for people or whatever?" Dean asked as he followed her around. Even though Dean didn't have plans to learn how to cook, it was fun watching others do it.

"You know you shouldn't keep yourself cooped up in here forever. How are you supposed to meet other people?" he continued to ask her. "I mean I know I'm great company and all, but I can't be your only friend forever. How about Ella?" he asked. The two girls had potential to be good friends, but for some reason Dean was closer to Odette than Ella was. he never understood why.

She expected Dean to follow her around while she made food, simply because that was what he always did. It wasn't as if she was making anything relatively complicated, just frying some chicken and making some wraps with salad, but he always seemed curious about every little bit of cooking that she did. Odette had tried to make him make his own sandwich once upon a time, but he had still somehow managed to use mouldy bread and she had only just stopped him eating it and giving himself some illness. Since then, she had taken over the feeding duty for the both of them.

"I did that this morning and I will be doing it again later this afternoon and this evening, no matter what time it is," she replied absentmindedly as she hunted around for food. She was becoming low on supplies, simply because when she bulk bought she usually only bought for herself and that wasn't exactly much. She usually went shopping on Mondays, though, so she would have to survive until then. She had enough food for the both of them, so she found what she needed and started cooking.

"I don't know if Ella likes me.." she trailed off, because she could never be sure with her best friend's twin. "I think I made a friend at the library a few days ago... does that count?" She wasn't sure with Elliot, and she didn't want to spare lots of details, but Dean was bound to ask. He usually did.

He really didn't know much about her duties as the priestess, but he did know his friend. She hated seeing her use the church as her hiding place instead of going out and talking to others.

"I don't know if Ella likes me.."

"Why wouldn't she? I like you, and we're pretty much the same person being twins and all." Dean explained to her. "Even if she doesn't she would still probably hit on you considering how cute you are." he added with a wink.

"I think I made a friend at the library a few days ago... does that count?"

"Oh? A friend? Who is it?" Dean asked, perking up at the mention of a friend at the library. "What is her name? Does she work there? How did you meet? Does she have a sister?" Dean continued to ask her as she worked. Odette having a friend? This was new.

Odette wouldn't quit her duties for anyone, not even for Dean. She found her work as the priestess one of the most important things in her schedule and there was no way she would be stopping them for anything else. She knew her best friend understood that much. Work always came first with her, even when she was working with her parents making jewellery. But she did use the church to hide, and she didn't really mind that.

She shrugged. "I don't know... I just feel like she doesn't like me because I hang around with you." It had always been a feeling she got from her best friend's twin, but Odette wasn't exactly the type of person to confront people about it. And the last thing that she was going to do was ask Dean's sister. That just wasn't going to happen.

She really didn't want to mention that Elliot was a boy, but she had no choice. She would just have to endure teasing about flirting and the like. "He owns it... I don't know if he has a sister. But he has a little boy. He's called Elliot." She prayed that Dean wouldn't pry any further and hurried herself with making the sandwiches.

"I don't know... I just feel like she doesn't like me because I hang around with you." Odette told him. Dean frowned at this, unsure of where his friend got this idea. He had never heard Ellie say anything bad about Odette, but perhaps she didn't say anything bad to him because she knew they were friends. He decided to let the conversation die for now and ask more about the friend that Odette was mentioning. Who managed to make friends with little Oddie? Also, did she have a sister? these were things that Dean needed to know.

"He owns it... I don't know if he has a sister. But he has a little boy. He's called Elliot."

"It's a guy? Well now you have to tell me about him." Dean told her. He leaned against the counter and looked down at her, grinning. "Do I get to meet this man? After all, I can't have anyone hurting my little Oddie, now can I?" Dean added. He had to keep an eye out on his friend. She was just like another one of his sisters, and he had to protect her as such.

"Though I can't imagine him being bad if he has a kid. Is he still married? Where's his wife? Odette, are you becoming a home wrecker?" Dean joked with her, giving her a grin. He knew the priestess wasn't like that, but it was always fun to tease.

Odette didn't really want to talk about Dean's big family because it was so different to hers. She was born an only child and Dean had lots of brothers and sisters, and she always felt the need to impress them, but knew that she couldn't. She just wasn't the kind of person who could manage to do that. So she was always worried that Dean's twin sister in particular disliked her, but had never found out for certain, so basically lived off of the assumption. Thankfully, Dean didn't press that matter further - only started to question about Elliot, and that was even worse.

She just carried on making the sandwiches, going redder and redder as Dean continued to ask questions, having known that this would be the case as soon as she mentioned Elliot. She chewed her lip. Would Odette be able to let Dean met Elliot? Would Dean be a bit much for him? She didn't want him to ask a lot of questions about him and she didn't want Dean to practically interrogate him and terrify Elliot about her only other friend.

"Maybe one day? He works at the library, so I'm sure you can go there...." Odette put Dean's sandwiches onto a plate and handed it over to him before sorting out her own food. "I... don't think he's married. I didn't see a ring," Odette trailed off. Dean had only created another worry for her and she was terrified that she might be ruining something, but she didn't let it show. "I don't think I am. But his child is a lovely boy, and he was very nice to me. I think you'd like him."

"I... don't think he's married. I didn't see a ring."

"You looked?" Dean asked her. He really should have stopped asking so many questions and making her flush the way that he was, but it was just too much fun. Odette always looked so cute when she was blushing and stammering. The silver haired man continued to ask questions, half because he wanted to continue teasing and half because he wanted to make sure that his childhood friend wasn't getting herself into trouble.

"I don't think I am. But his child is a lovely boy, and he was very nice to me. I think you'd like him."

"Oh really? What makes you think that?" Dean asked. Sure, he got along with plenty of men well, but that was usually because they drank and enjoyed the company of women all the same. Most of the time he was only nice and polite to those who did not, or at least until they did something to annoy him.

"Perhaps him and I could go out for a drink sometime and play some pool. I wonder if he thinks the same about you as I do..." Dean said, teasing just a little bit more. He really needed to stop.

They're usually quite noticeable!" Odette answered hotly, her face going brighter red as she tried to make amends for what she said. Trust Dean to make it even worse than it actually was. Odette didn't want to make things awkward and she especially didn't want Dean quizzing her to the point of no return, because she trusted Elliot and she figured that he was one of the only friends she had outside of Dean, and didn't want to lose that kind of achievement.

"I - I guess..." Odette didn't really know what to respond with for that. Odette didn't want to outright say no but she couldn't speak for Elliot, although she definitely didn't want to hear about what was thought about her. She was certainly more happy not knowing. She was much happier just getting on with it and letting Dean do what he wanted as she always did.

Dean immediately noticed Odette’s short responses and decided to back off. He loved teasing her, but he always knew when he was taking it too far, and that was what he was doing right now. Slowly Dean took a step back and let out a small laugh, heading over to a different side of the kitchen to grab some silverware for them. Even though Odette was only making sandwiches, they might still need it.

“I’ll go set the table, yeah? Would you like some water?” Dean asked her. Once he got her answer he grabbed a few drinks and headed towards the table, stopping at Odette first to give her a quick kiss on the top of her head. At the table he set up the silverware and drinks before sitting down. He patiently waited for his friend to come over with the food before saying anything else.

“Looks absolutely delicious, Odette. I wish I had your cooking skills.” Dean told her with a grin, wanting to dig right on in but knew it would be rude. Instead he took a sip of his water and waited for her first/
