With her children at her family home and nothing to worry about, Celeste's sapphire gaze focused the bar with sheer excitement. Why was she excited?
One word. Alcohol. After having spent nearly two whole seasons without it, Celeste was relieved to finally ween them onto bottled milk and food which they seemed to take without much fuss. Okay. Alcohol wasn't the only reason she was entirely excited. Celeste felt like it had been forever since she could freely do what she wanted.

Westhaven how she missed you!
Okay. That's never going to be said again.

As soon as the door was opened and the scent of alcohol and cheap bar food wafted into her nose, Celeste instantly clutched her hands together and her sapphire eyes lit up. She was so happy she could almost start singing. Almost.
Making a Bee line straight for the bar.
"One large red wine, strongest and finest if you must." Celeste watched eagerly as the red liquid poured into the glass and she took it with ease. Swiftly moving away from the bar, Celeste's sapphire eyes swept across the gathering and she took in note everyone's appearance.

As soon as the wine lifted to her blood-red painted lips, marking the glass as they touched. Her slender fingers wrapped around the glass with the light shining off her golden nails, a ring reaching her middle finger and spreading out into two chains that formed a v, following up her hand and reaching the corners of her wrist before attaching to a golden cuff that wrapped tightly and snugly around her right wrist. Her left hand accompanying the same cuff but no chain. A clear, white gossamer shoal wrapped around her arms and trailed up them in large, spiral-like formation meeting behind her and spreading out like a glittery white cape, trailing down past her exposed stomach and waist (which miraculously had no marks that proved to show she had once been pregnant) and curved around the back of her rear. On both of her arms following the gossamer sheet was golden snakes that coiled around and their heads pointed towards her shoulder blades.

Around her forehead rested golden beads that clanged softly as she moved her head. Overkill? Perhaps.
Her eyes were painted with a variety of dusty, sandy browns and golds; glitter added to the coating and glimmered in the light. Black paint aligned her eyelashes, curving in a sharp tick towards the corners of her eyes. Beneath her left eye was a mark similar to an eye that flicked into two directions, connecting to the flick.

Encompassing her chest was a white shirt with creases alongside her breasts, forming a large v that revealed a rather large amount of her cleavage; the hem of the v was golden and had markings that were similar to hieroglyphics resting on gold, black and blue lines that lined in close-spaced patterns. Around her neck was a golden band that had small beads trailing down it to her collar bones. Her shoulders exposed other than the curls of her dirty blonde hair twirling and waving down her shoulders and her back; golden and blue beads leading from a tiara that sat nestled on the crown of her head waved their way down through the streaks in her hair, all attached by a gossamer sheet.
The tiara itself a golden band with black markings and a red jewel sat on the middle of a cobra that followed her forehead in an s-shape before looking to strike with its hood opened and daunting.

A veil draped down past the tiara behind her in a sapphire blue tone as it flailed out and hung to her knees, glittering in the lights of the room.
Her waist down was a skin-tight white skirt with the same pattern on the hems with a large golden tie draping down in front and behind her, pointing to the ground with a blue diamond centred in both and black and gold stripes aligning it.
The skirt reached no more than just above her knees. From her knees down to her toes were golden shoes that met in diamond shaped patterns revealing her skin between each diamond; each one possessing rubies and sapphires.
Her toes were also painted gold but red little jewels were added too.

Now with her glass in hand and the buzz already entering her system, Celeste's sapphire eyes snaked across the group for someone to talk to.
The perfect person was there in her eyes, almost the first person she had indeed realised.
Walking with a little bit of sass to her movement, Celeste's fingers traced up his arm.
"Ender, my love. It has most certainly been a while." Leaning close, Celeste raised her hand to her face with her fingers lining the side of her lips. "Love the costume by the way, very original."

Why was she here?
Who the hell knows? Perhaps because she caught news that a certain sexy Oliver Triston had shown his face in the city of Westhaven's most popular areas.
Nadia had not long arrived, having made sure to arrive fashionably late to the Bar.
Having a quick cigarette outside, Nadia dropped it to the ground and flicked her blonde hair over her shoulder.

Wearing nothing more than a two piece tank top and a skin-tight skirt that just covered her waist and things; Nadia's hands reached and fumbled with her black cat ears that sat either side of her head and the tail that accompanied it attached by a back belt around her waist.

Her boots were just long, black leather boots that reached to her knees and that was really all there was other than a collar that sat around her neck with a bell.
Perhaps she could act like she was "Ollie's Kitty" or something bizarre like that. Whatever, she was sure nobody had a body like hers or influence like hers. The people who she would have deemed enemies were either getting pregnant or just disappearing. Oliver was so going to be hers again by tonight.

Her journey here consisted of a glass of wine from a bottle and three shots of whiskey that she had smuggled in the taxi in a small canteen, Nadia could feel a strong buzz and she burped.
Oh well, this place had supposed free alcohol and Nadia was drunk enough to not care about saving face.
"Love-lovely day for a party, eh?" Nadia hiccuped as she moved close to a blonde girl. "Lookin' good there." I look better.

Elowyn stifled a laugh at the spectacle, a grin spread across her face as it usually ended up doing.
"Well, 'Prince Phoenix', perhaps you should be mindful of where you put your sword," she cooed back with a wink of her own. She turned to Kallie as she spoke, giving a nod of thanks as she received her.

She watched as the woman left, a slightly puzzled look on her face before she turned back to Nix, smile returning.
"Ah, I suppose it is getting a bit crowded in here. She might be worried someone would run into her," she spoke, giving the man a proper once over before nodding again. "It suits you. And I do suppose 'rebirth' is a lot better than 'nothing'."

She took the time to look around, taking in the various costumes before returning to the man before her.
"Definitely a popular night," she commented before shooting her whiskey easily, keeping the empty glass in hand until a server passed and took it for her.

Growing antsy, he shifted his weight to lean himself against the wall. He kept his arms crossed and chin up, at his height it was easy for him to nonchalantly take sweeping glances and scope out the room. Honestly it was a bit hard to see through the tiny slits of his cheap mask, but as far as he could tell nothing interesting was happening anyway.

Then there was a warmth at his side as someone filled the vacant space between him and the bar. Unable to make out a face just yet, his eyes dipped downwards to find a few perfectly painted fingers tickling away at his arm. The nails glistened like tiny, golden coins against his lightly tanned skin. Quickly he turned to discover whoever was prodding him.

"Ender, my love. It has most certainly been a while."

Celeste. An interesting character, indeed. She leaned even closer. He thought for sure something snarky was coming, an insult, a jab. Something, anything solely intended to tear him down. But no? She'd actually somewhat complimented his crappy costume. Kindness from her was foreign to him, it caused his face to twist in confusion under the plastic that shielded his eyes.

The cop was very suspicious of her sudden warmth. Obviously she was up to something, most likely prancing over to get a rise out of him. So he put his guard up, and decided that he would play her game.

He smiled, and without missing a beat he hunched over her and began to speak in a deep, raspy voice. “Ender?” He repeated in convincing skepticism. “I am not Ender, I am Jack, the Pumpkin King!” He declared to the bar. He put a hand on each hip and gave a matter-of-fact nod. Immature? Yes. But still worth it? Absolutely.

After all, Halloween was the one night you didn't have to be yourself, and he intended on taking full advantage of this opurtunity.

Of all the costumes here, Ender was of course going to pick a plain looking one that screamed "No effort".
Clearly he wasn't quite expecting her of all people to approach him. Did she pick up what seemed to be a tense, guarded atmosphere about him when she spoke?
Sadly, Celeste wasn't here to pick a fight. Oh no.

She was bored after having spent a lot of time cooped up at home and finally alcohol was able to meet her lips. A pleasure she was severely derived of.
If any fight were to start today, it would be because of Ender. Last thing she needed was Kyle showing up just to cause a problem between the three and once again Celeste would be stuck watching to roosters puff themselves up and size the other up.
"Ender? He asked and Celeste cocked her head to the side. What was with the raspy voice?

"My Heavens! Are you s-"
"I am not Ender, I am Jack, the Pumpkin King!” Not the exact response she was expecting.
Was he really role-playing? Surely he was drunk? With a smirk and a raised eyebrow, Celeste examined him briefly before curtsying politely. Carefully holding the glass in her right hand as she did, ensuring it stayed stable. No way was she going to waste a single drop of this delight.
"Where are my manners?" Celeste asked softly, her voice silky. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Jack. My name is Hathor." Celeste straightened up and winked.

Taking a sip of her wine, Celeste exhaled deeply.
"Goddess tonight is a blessed night. Would you not think so?"

When Kallie said she needed air, Logan escorted her willingly. He didn’t want her wandering the city at night alone. Anyone would see a pregnant woman and think her an easy target for a mugging or worse. Besides, what if she wasn’t feeling well? He couldn’t risk her being dizzy and falling and hurting herself or the baby.

They walked outside into the crisp fall air. It reminded him of their ‘second date’ when he had taken her to the bar to see a show and they had gone outside to get some air and chat. He wondered if she remembered the same. “Is everything alright? Are you lightheaded? Do you need to sit?”

Grace had no idea how long the girl had been at the party, but she appeared to be far ahead of the others in terms of drinks. “Yes, it is nice. Looks like everyone went all out there with their costumes,” she smiled at the woman. “Yours looks nice too, Ms. Cat, or do you prefer Kitty Cat?”

One moment Scout seemed quite content to stay curled against Oliver’s body, and the next she was huffing and puffing away. Sure pizza was all fine and dandy, and he had had plenty of fun times with that particular slice of pizza, but he had chosen Scout, hadn’t he? That had to count for something with his siren. There were quite a few scantily-clad women in the bar, he wasn’t going to be able to avert his eyes from all of them.

Oliver finished the remainder of his wine, deciding that wine just wasn’t going to cut it tonight. If he was going to make it through this festival, he was going to need something a lot stronger. He made his way over to the bar and ordered himself a scotch neat, knocking it back before ordering another one. Why did relationships have to be so difficult?

With his new drink in hand, Oliver walked back over to the still fuming Scout. Being a boyfriend was a new world for Oliver, and he had to get use to the little bit of jealousy he was going to have to deal with with this new territory. “Scout, babe, I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to upset you, I just don’t think sometimes. You know Captain Westhaven has got to look out for the whole city, but you’re still my number one priority.”

He didn't expect her to smile, and he surely did not expect her to take a step back and bow. Now he was the one craning his neck, he watched her carefully from his place against the wall.

"Where are my manners?" That was something he often asked himself in her company. That pretty little face had a nasty mouth, and her words cut deep when she played her cards right. Plus it didn't help that she hung around with less than savory fellows like Kyle, and with that thought, he looked over her shoulder briefly to see if he was slinking around. It had been a long while since they’d run into one another. He hoped they could keep that trend going.

Celeste soft voice broke his train of thought. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Jack. My name is Hathor." Ender nodded. Shocked, yet pleased she agreed to play along.

The woman raised her glass and sighed. There was something off about it. Was she okay? She wasn't exactly acting like her usual sassy self. Her behavior was odd, but he couldn't pin it. Her hanging around still slightly spooked him, but he figured what the hell, why not. No one else was lining up to chit-chat with him. Plus it was probably her first night kid-free in a while. Perhaps she really had come here just to have fun? "Goddess tonight is a blessed night. Would you not think so?"

He kept up the act. “Yes, yes.”
He hissed in a hushed tone. He unfolded his arms and turned his body towards her. The rigidness of his shoulders relaxed and even though it was hidden, his expression softened behind the mask. “Are you, uh, alone?”
He asked, this time forgetting to use his scary voice. Though he hadn't seen Kyle yet he wanted to be sure he wasn't waiting around the corner to deck him.

Plus, he was pretty 'alone' too.

Clearly from Ender's stature, Celeste could tell he was by-far stunned by her approach. She could tell he was obviously expecting her to lash out with her claws. It was written all over his body language, but she wasn't going to give him what he was expecting. Hell, Celeste could not be bothered to even snap witty comebacks to insult him until he broke.

Celeste was tempted to remove his mask and examine his face behind it, but alas she wasn't going to remove this cute facade he placed on. It was something she found quite adorable.
Sipping her wine again, Celeste raised an eyebrow and batted her eyelashes innocently.

"Yes, yes.” 'Jack' responded and Celeste winked playfully and rocked on her heels while she watched him. Taking another sip, Celeste could tell her glass was getting close to empty so she needed to savour this glass. Who knew if she was going to get more. Part of her was worried something bad would happen to her children or they began to cry and she wasn't there to take care of them.

"Are you, uh, alone?” Celeste looked around and then back towards Ender.
"Are you worried Kyle will appear?" Celeste asked carelessly. "He will not. He's off abroad doing work stuff or whatever." Shrugging, Celeste carried on swirling her wine. "Doesn't bother me all the same. I'm here having fun and just trying to make amends for my past behaviour. Perhaps becoming a mother teaches you all kinds of interesting things." Winking, Celeste leaned close.

"What about you? Where's your usual companions?"

"Yes, it is nice. Looks like everyone went all out there with their costumes,” The woman she approached spoke. Nadia just blinked her eyes at her, trying to blink out the dizziness that seemed to linger around her in a never ending tirade.
"Yes." Nadia responded, puffing up her chest to accentuate the very little cleavage she possessed. "They fail in the shexy cate...category with their try hardnessness." Hiccuping, Nadia grinned drunkenly at the girl she had arrived at. Too fuzzy to process her actual appearance. Not like she cared anyway.

"Yours looks nice too, Ms. Cat, or do you prefer Kitty Cat?” Nadia just scoffed, adjusting her black skin-tight top.
"Oliver's Kitty if you pleashe." Nadia glanced towards her with pride. "'cause yooooou knooow ~. I am hish go-to girl after all." Nadia flicking her blonde hair, clearly unaware of how wrong she was. Her hand pressed to the nearest support to keep herself just from falling over, but Nadia felt giddy so it meant nothing to her. If she face-planted, men would catch her curves and that was fine with her too.

"Are you worried Kyle will appear?" He didn't know how to reply, but that was okay, because she spoke before he could answer. "He will not. He's off abroad doing work stuff or whatever." Or whatever? When she shrugged carelessly, he bit his lip behind the mask. As someone himself who also tried to nonchalantly shrug away his problems, he understood her reasoning behind it. He wasn't here to interrogate her, and he didn't care what Kyle was up to anyway. Plus, since he could relate he knew without asking how her partner's absence made her feel. Though he was sure it must have been a thousand times more painful since there were children involved.

"Doesn't bother me all the same. I'm here having fun and just trying to make amends for my past behaviour. Perhaps becoming a mother teaches you all kinds of interesting things." Ender didn't believe the first part, but didn't challenge it in either. He smiled at her mention of making peace where there was tension. Recently he had actually been working on trying to do the same for himself. The cop had a bad habit of being an insufferable jerk, as well as a narcissist. Which overtime had left some ugly scars on people he cared about, emotionally and physically, some that would never heal unfortunately. But he was actively trying to do better, and that was a start.

Celeste leaned close once again.

"What about you? Where's your usual companions?" Speaking of scars. Celeste had a way of tearing his open. Last year had been drama filled for sure, but at least he had friends to cause trouble with. Lately, not so much. His blue haired flame had since been smothered and he hadn't seen much of Killian since the summer. Lisbeth was most likely pissed at him, rightfully so, and he felt bad being around Fiona who was too good and pure for a big bad wolf such as himself. In a few words, he was great at burning bridges. People had a way of coming into his life with a bang, but going out with nothing but a slow, awful fizzle.

He didn't blame them for leaving. He wasn't exactly someone to write home about.

Ender cleared his throat simultaneously as a bronze hand came forth to lift the mask up and over to rest on his messy bed of dark hair. He smirked despite the aching in his chest. “They know where to find me. I don't go out of my way for people when I'm off the job, too much effort.” Life was easier with a smaller circle. Less people to hurt you, and less people to disappoint when you can't live up to their fucked up expectations.

Instead of sulking for too long, he mentioned something she said earlier. Something a little lighter. “So, becoming a parent? How is it?” He was sincerely curious about it, and hoped she wasn't too tired of hearing that question. He also remembered something kind of silly, but he blurted it out without a second thought “Your kids, they share my birthday. I saw their birth announcement in the paper. Summer the 16th.” He nodded, his mask made a wobbly plastic noise as his head moved up and down. “Yep, we are birthday buddies I suppose.” There was some excitement in his voice, despite having never met the kids for himself. He just thought it was a pretty sweet coincidence.

“People with that birthday usually turn out pretty cool, the proofs right here.” He said confidently, gesturing towards himself with a grin. The cop laughed, for the first time he was actually enjoying her company.

Autumn 30-Evening- Belle and OPEN

Scout was still swirling the last of her third glass of wine. She wondered if she was being too harsh, although maybe sometimes it was exactly what Oliver needed. After all, he was used to having any woman he wanted at any time that he wanted, and she had to wonder how that must have been to just cut all those woman out for one. He loved her, he said so himself, so he would try not to be unfaithful to her, wouldn’t he? She didn’t know why she was so paranoid, other than the fact that perhaps she was insecure, especially with so many beautiful ladies gathered in the room competing in a contest Oliver himself had come up with.

Though even when he came forward, saying her name with the sweetness of a pet name added to it, she found she looked away from him. But every time he spoke like that, it was hard for her to stay mad at him. Maybe she was being too paranoid, after all he had given her a few minutes to cool off and then had come right back to her side.

Placing the glass down on the table, she turned to him with a bit of an irritated look before she pulled him down to her level to kiss him with a strange possession that he probably wasn’t used to from her. She likely tasted of wine as her fingers laced into his hair, but she released him only moments later, licking her lips as if to try and salvage her lipstick she was likely going to need to fix. “I know, Oliver.” She said finally. “But I really want your eyes on me tonight.” She said as she picked her glass back up. “I dressed this way to make one person happy, not an entire room of people.”

She shivered after a moment, wrapping her arms around his middle as she glanced around. “Speaking of it’s actually really cold over here. Did you guys need to put this table so close to the door?” She asked. “I mean I guess it’s warmer to you with that spandex, but me? Well.” She motioned to all the exposed skin to make a point. “Got anywhere warmer we can go Captain?” Anywhere but where they were standing was probably the answer.

Logan seemed concerned as Kallie rushed out of the Bar, trying to give her friend some space but also because she had needed to breathing room. She sighed deeply, before turning and smiling at Logan. “Hm? No, I’m fine!” She said in an attempt to reassure him. “You know me, I love a good crowd, but occasionally it’s nice to take a breather.” She said what she had said on one of their dates before, so of course it had sparked a memory within her.

“I remember when we came here to watch that band. I ran out here because I needed some air, you couldn’t find me after you brought those pretzels because I forgot to tell you.” She said, the fondness in her voice clear. It was those kind of things that had made her fall in love with Logan in the first place. His compassion for her, for others, it had all fascinated Kallie from the moment they met at his old job.

“That all seems really long ago now, doesn’t it?” She asked as she glanced up at the clear skies. “I’m having our baby next season. Soon he’ll be able to see the sky just like we do, see everything.” She said as she wrapped her arms around herself. “He wasn’t here a few seasons ago and now he’s about to be.”

“Not as fast as other things can put a smile on m’face, sweetheart.” He corrected her as he glanced down at the shots. Just because they were colorful, he should have known that it didn’t mean they were any less potent. If he had minded this, maybe the night would have ended a lot differently. But with Penny’s coaxing, he picked up one of the small shot glasses. “Ah’ ain’t as worried about takin’ them as a man as ah’ am about taken em’ like ya’ll do.” He said, indicating that he was aware that Penny was one of those girls who could hold her drink.

He was sure that he would lose to Penny after the first shot went down, but he just wasn’t sure how soon. At first Barrett matched her shot for shot, but he soon lost his edge with a single fumble. It was in that way that Penny downed all of her shots before him, and he finished his off anyway. “Well, ain’t that a kick in the ass?” he asked as he placed the glass down. If he hadn’t started feeling the effects, he was sure he would soon. “Where’d ya learn to drink like that Penny, an Itris damned Grizzly bear?” he asked as he leaned back.

“Awlright well, you win cheesy.” He said, pointing out her dress as he leaned forwards on the bar. “So what’s it ya’ want me ta’ do. Those were the terms weren’t they?” He asked as he accepted his fate. With Penny, he liked to think that wasn’t so bad, but when it came to her it could be anywhere from a few kisses to hanging your underwear on a flag pole.

Ender alone was always an interesting sight for Celeste. Every time she saw him alone, Celeste had always come to keep him company and enjoy a tussle. This time he kind of looked pathetic and lonely (and it wasn't his little plastic mask that gave it off) it was the overall vibe. Celeste felt some odd empathy for him when she first saw him. Of course she was going to come over anyway. Ender was hard to miss no matter where he was.

Here he was and for once Celeste didn't pick up on his usual hostility. Speaking of hostility, Celeste recalled the first time she had actually met him.
He had spent more time taunting the woman she was with instead of the true pieces of art that sat on the desk in front of her. At the time, it kind of irritated her.

The very first harvest festival Celeste had sold some of her stock at to give Ioana a taste of what Westhaven was devouring at a much cheaper price.
Celeste's sapphire eyes examined him with every word, wondering just what word would make him tick. Alas, nothing.

Raising an eyebrow, Celeste pondered why he was here if he was planning to come alone. It wasn't exactly something she'd peg him as. She'd never imagine him to be a loner.
Of course, Celeste had been wrong before.

"They know where to find me. I don't go out of my way for people when I'm off the job, too much effort.” His face was hidden behind the mask and Celeste just examined him studiously.
Tearing her gaze from him just long enough to examine the crowd, Celeste recalled their last time meeting. A dwarf had come along to separate them before things got ugly.

"So, becoming a parent? How is it?” Her head turned towards him quickly, surprised by his innocent question. Her dirty blonde curls bouncing as they collided against her shoulder and chest, curling towards the v of her hem and the tips pointing towards the curve of her chest.

Before she could respond, Ender had thrown another question into the mix. "Your kids, they share my birthday. I saw their birth announcement in the paper. Summer the 16th.”
Looking towards him, the aristocrat's lips formed a bright smile and she laughed softly.
"Well, you have something in common with them. Is that not wonderful? If it's not your childish charm --" Celeste briefly flicked a slender finger towards his plastic mask. "-- it would be the fact you share a birthday with them."
"Yep, we are birthday buddies I suppose.”
"Childish charm ~"

"Honestly?" Celeste asked thoughtfully, referring back to the previous question while bringing the glass to her lips one more time and taking a small sip of the sinful delight. "It is simply incredible. It is not easy raising twins alone, but it is a wonderful experience." A soft, lonely gaze flitted through her usual cold glare.
"I wonder how they are right now. They were fast asleep when I passed them over, but that was over four hours ago, now." Truthfully, Celeste had half a mind to leave and go home to check on them.

"People with that birthday usually turn out pretty cool, the proofs right here.” There was pride and playfulness in Ender's voice (or what she felt was pride and playful) and Celeste examined him once again before pressing her glass to her lips and shifting her gaze to the corner of her eyes.

Finishing the glass, Celeste sighed and placed it on a nearby table while contemplating the idea of getting another. Maybe Ender would like one too?
"Perhaps you'd like to accompany me for another glass?" Gesturing towards the lipstick stained glass she had placed on the table, the mother's eyes fell on her companion for the night. "I'm sure you'd want to cool off. Nothing is more uncomfortable than your own warm breath in your face." and I'd get to talk about my little girls some more.

Phoenix Brookson
Belham Bar /|\ Evening /|\ Autumn 30

He laughed, nodding his head in agreement with her statement. The sword seemed to be more dangerous in it's sheath then out of it, thought he had yet to attempt stabbing someone. Not that he would, of course. He watched her face as she eyed him and then did the same, appreciating her costume all the more. She looked very spooky, and it fit a theme of the competition, whereas his was just for fun. "It suits you. And I do suppose 'rebirth' is a lot better than 'nothing'."

Phoenix snorted, crossing his arms. "Dear gods woman, it's a firebird." He rolled his eyes and met her gaze. "Firebird. Not nothing, not rebirth. At least, that what's my parents had in mind when they named me. I prefer to think of it that way as well," he finished with a coo, winking at her once again just for the heck of it. He didn't want her to get the wrong idea, but he couldn't stop enjoying her company. Their flirting was exceedingly enjoyable. He silently prayed he wouldn't see her too many times after this, though he wouldn't mind on occasion.

"Now," he began, siding next to her and linking her arm in his. "Is there anything I can get the lady? A meal? More whiskey?" he asked, grinning. And then, in agreement to her statement, she nodded. "It is a very popular night. Never seen this place so crowded."

Logan was relieved that nothing was wrong with Kallie. Now that he was around for the pregnancy, he was concerned at the smallest shift in motion or any little noise she made that sounded like discomfort or pain. He was still unsure of himself with Kallie, but he was so ready to be a father to the little one that she was giving life to.

He nodded when she mentioned their date here. He smiled as he remembered the moment. “I thought you had ditched me. Got bored and ran out when my back was turned. And then I came out here and there you were and started chatting away like nothing had even happened,” he said with a chuckle.

He glanced up at the sky with her before looking back to her, and to her protruding stomach. Next season, they would have a child, a little boy. They had so little time left to prepare. “I keep thinking it will be so long before he’s here, but really, he’ll be here before we know it. We still have so much to do to get ready for him.”

Grace had the pleasure to try and decipher drunken words from the cat’s mouth. She rarely drank and hoped to Itris she was never this drunk. She couldn’t even imagine the hangover the woman would have to deal with in the morning.

She looked around the room. Yes, there were many women who seemed to be aiming for the “sexy” category of the event. Grace could never dress so scantily but thought she looked pretty cute in her costume all the same.

“Oliver?” Grace asked curiously. “Do you mean Oliver Triston?” she asked curiously. She knew she had seen the man around somewhere, after all, he was hosting the event. “Are you his girlfriend or something?” She didn’t want to start anything, but she was pretty sure Oliver had already been smooching with someone else tonight.

The last thing Oliver was expecting when he approached Scout was for her to kiss him. Not that he minded, but he was much more accustomed to being slapped when he screwed something up. He wrapped an arm around her waist as she dug her hands into his hair. When she pulled away he couldn’t help but chuckle. “You know I was only gone for like five minutes, right?” he said as she licked her lips.

He gave her a light kiss on the forehead. “You have my full attention for the rest of the night. Promise.” He rubbed her arm lightly when he saw her shiver, but he couldn’t help but chuckle lightly. “Well, you did pick the one corner of the room closest to the door,” he said taking a sip of his drink.

Arm around her waist he led her away from the door, closer to the main stage. “I’d give you my cape, but I’m not 100% sure how it detaches. At least the alcohol will keep you warm,” he said with a smile. “Next year I’ll let you dress up in spandex.”

Autumn 30-Evening- Belle and OPEN

When he mentioned only being gone for five minutes, Scout shrugged softly. “Yeah, but who knows? I could be one of those girlfriends who can’t stand to be away from you for more than one minute. Not even if you go to the bathroom.” She said before taking a sip of her wine. Raising an eyebrow after a moment, she stuck her tongue out at him. “Or not.” She added jokingly. Itris, she needed her space just about as much as he did, but it was both a funny and terrifying thought. He kissed her forehead and she leaned into him. “Good.” She stated, glad that she now had his attention despite the other women in the room. He mentioned she happened to pick the table closest to the door, she sighed.

“I’m sorry in my blind rage I obviously wasn’t looking where I was going.” She mentioned, before raising her glass. It was a joke even if her tone didn’t make it sound like one. “Aside from that, it had the better looking wine.” She added pointedly as she offered him her glass to try from. She was more at ease now that Oliver and her had spoken to each other. She supposed jealousy was part of a relationship too, even if she would eventually need to overcome it so it wasn’t as bad the next time something like this happened. For now, she would enjoy the fact she was holding her boyfriend’s attention, even as the host of the party.

When he mentioned giving her the cape, she shook her head. “I wasn’t exactly going for the superhero mermaid look so you know, you can keep it.” She promised. “As long as I get to be the one taking it off you this year.” She said, leaning in close enough so only he could hear her. Pulling away, she glanced around. “So…you do this every year then? Host, I mean. I’ve heard of the Pumpkin Festival but as you can probably imagine a lot of my time today in the past was spent in the library.” Rather than here of course, it would have taken a lot to drag Scout out of the Library in the past. But she made an exception for Oliver this year.

Autumn 30-Evening- Belle

She knew they still had so much to do for their little boy before it would be time for him to show up. She bit her lip as warm memories of their second date flooded her mind, followed by so many others. She swallowed her breath softly, nodding in response. “We really do! We have to make a nursery, at least a temporary one since I’m sure David and Barrett won’t want us living in the ranch house forever.” It was then she paused as she realized she had said ‘us’. “I…I mean…me…I…” But she realized that she couldn’t do this any longer.

There was still broken trust between them, she knew that, and in fact she fully understood because she had been the cause of it. There was so much of that fence left to mend that she wasn’t sure how long it was going to take before things between them were the way they were before, if they could even go back to that, but she had missed him so much. He had been with her for little over a couple of days and she had wanted to do so much, tell him so much, but she was never really sure of the right time.

“Oh Logan I…I’m sorry but I really can’t take this anymore!” She said finally. She turned to him and pulled him down to her, kissing him with a gentle passion that he was sure to remember. Perhaps she had lost her cool for a moment, but Kallie didn’t know how else she was supposed to convey her feelings, and show him that she truly wanted things to get better between them. But that thought entered her head that it was perhaps too much, too soon, and she pulled away after a moment. “I’m sorry…I probably shouldn’t have done that but I just…I missed you so...sorry.” she swallowed once again. She was tired of making mistakes.

| ender/Aofie // celeste/Rii | pumpkin festival | fall 30 | HI I SWEAR IM ACTIVE|

She was late, but she didn't really care all too much about that, at this point, anyway. Lisbeth wasn't all too bothered about the costume festival - she was turning up in a maid costume, for god's sake - but because she had been blobbing around at home for so long and listening to the noise outside, she was bubbling for something to do. Unused adrenaline running through her veins. Eventually, she decided that she couldn't stand it anymore, and she threw on the old costume from god only knew how long ago, and made her way down to the bar later on in the night. She didn't really know what she was expecting. She hadn't really been out for so long.

She wandered into the bar and blinked. It was lively, that was for sure. But for once in her life, Lisbeth actually felt out of place - actually felt like she couldn't force her way into belonging here. She spotted Penny across the way climbing over a guy she didn't recognise, and she couldn't help but smirk - a smirk that turned into a fond smile. She had missed her. She missed everything - Lisbeth didn't know what had happened to her in the last few months. It just seemed her fire had died and smothered with snow, instead.

But then she spotted two more familiar faces - one that sent a punch into her gut, but seeing Celeste with Ender was a somewhat welcome sight, because Lisbeth being Lisbeth - she couldn't help but want to go and bother him every time she saw him. She still hadn't really forgiven him for trying to murder her best friend, but - now that they seemed to be on the same page, after all - maybe she could try and make amends. Sort of.

So she sauntered over the best she could - she hadn't sauntered into so long, either, and pushed her face in between the two of them, giving her an eerie sense of deja vu back to the Spring Fling. It was the fling, wasn't it? Itris, it had been a while. "How are my two favourite people tonight?" she grinned, looking up at both of them. "How are the bubbas, Celeste? Left them at home tonight, I assume? Wouldn't want an Unseelie fae coming in from the faerie realm and stealing them away for changelings, after all."
