[FRIDAY AUTUMN 30TH, 10PM - 3AM, BELHAM BAR]

A night of spooks and ghouls, the Pumpkin festival is a night celebrated by kids to go trick or treating for candy at the neighborhood houses. They dress in costume, traveling in packs from house to house in hopes for that they will get their favorite chocolate bar. Residents stock up on treats so to ensure the children don't play a trick on their houses.

For adults, it's a night of excessive drinking in costume. Many flock to the local bars to participate in the local costume contest, and dance the night away.

This year's event is hosted at none other than Belham. The bar interior has been done up with orange lights, and orange and black streamers zigzag their way across the ceiling. All drinks are free, paid for by sponsorship from Oliver Triston and Miles Fenton, our hosts for the evening, and the bar is being managed by the usual bartenders, all done up in revealing costumes (Triston's doing no doubt). Guests arrive done up in their best costumes in hopes to take home the prize for their costumes.

COSTUME CONTEST

Anyone attending the shindig at Belham Bar is more than welcome to participate in the costume contest. Just be sure to get your entry in on time to ensure your participation.

Rules:
    1) No photo links to outfits. This point of the contest is to display your attention to detail and your ability to describe a scene. Entries with links to photo references will be disqualified.

    2) All votes will be based on the members ability to describe their character's costume through their writing. Costume descriptions should be made clear to the reader and stand out from the post (either by coloring, bolding or putting into a quote box).

    3) Members will have until January 16th to submit their entries for the contest, with voting beginning the following day.
Members will be able to vote for costumes in three categories.
    CREEPIEST COSTUME
The person wearing this costume is a fan of spooks and ghouls. This costume would cause anyone to run and hide.
    MOST ORIGINAL COSTUME
This costume turns heads simply because people take a moment to figure out what it is. This costume required a lot of work and is definitely not something you could find in a store.
    SEXIEST COSTUME
Strut your stuff! This costume is a head-turner and no one can take their eyes off it.
Voting will not begin until January 17th and will run until January 22nd at 11:59pm EDT. All votes for all three categories are to be PMed to Belle.

Autumn 30-Evening-Belle and OPEN

“I can’t believe you made us stay for that extra study hour.” Lucy’s voice was lost on Scout as she looked out the window of Aaron’s car. She really wasn’t too sure that she wanted to do this whole Pumpkin Festival thing. After all, she had studying that she could be doing. But…Oliver was one of the people who was running the event, and he had gone ahead and brought her a costume that she hadn’t been allowed to look at until today. She had played along, but she was a little nervous to find out just what it was. The box rested in her lap, Aaron driving the car smoothly into one of the parking spots by the bar. “Come on Scout, we need to get you dolled up. Since someone didn’t want to get ready after class.”

“I don’t know what this is going to look like, Lucy, do you really thing I wanted to-gah!” Her sister pulled her from the car, practically dragging her step sister through the doors of the bar as Scout dug her heels in to try and stop her. “Lucille I can walk!”

“If I leave it up to you you’ll walk out the door.” Scout opened her mouth to say something, but couldn’t get it out as Lucille shoved her into the bathroom and into one of the stalls. “Now change.” She ordered through the door.

“Do I have to?”

“Duh. You’re not going as a lame University student Scout.” If it was up to Scout she would have stayed the way she was. But Oliver had told her to dress up, and so she’d play along. Sighing, she pulled the toilet seat down and set the box on it. Opening the box, her expression changed. If she was honest, she really liked it, but the timid part of her forced her to call out to Lucille.

“Oh dear Itris I don’t have to wear this do I?”

“Don’t you dare make me come in there Layton!” With a sigh, Scout undressed and began to work out how she was supposed to get the costume on in the first place. It was a little while before Scout came out of the stall, and Lucy paused in playing with her make up bag to look. She let out a whistle. “Damn girl, your boy knows how to choose them.”

“I’m going to kill him.” Scout wore a velvety red seashell bra, many creases made up the design as the back thinned out into small delicate strings, tied off at her neck and back with soft red ribbons. A matching, shiny scale textured red v-line skirt rested dangerously low on her hips, red lacey frills rounding the thin sides of the skirt that rested delicately yet snugly there. The skirt flared downward, a slit in the long thing leaving little to the imagination of one of her legs, and though scout had tried to pull it over, it hadn’t made much of a difference. At the end the fabric was almost a transparent red, flowing outwards into something that resembled a mermaid’s tail. Just between her thighs rested a large plastic seashell, and scout was grateful that it was in just the right place. Strappy, black open toed sandals had their straps crossing up to her ankles, with pearls lined along the bottom just before her toes.

“Let’s get to work.” Lucy wasted no time, a vision in her mind of just what she needed to do to complete her sister’s look. Scout handed over the box and Lucy looked through the many sea shell and starfish themed hairclips, and she decided to place French braids dotted with tiny seashells in her sister’s long hair, and she parted her sister’s hair to the left, over one eye before placing a large starfish clip on the opposite side of her head. The make-up was simple, red lipstick and a light layer of red-brown eyeshadow, and Lucy completed the look by smearing a soft amount of shimmery body glitter to the exposed skin of her right shoulder, then a very small amount over her abdomen.

“Perfect!”

“I feel ridiculous.”

“You mean hot.”

“No.”

“I’ll go put our bags in the car!” Lucy said excitedly as she dragged Scout out of the bathroom and darted outside, leaving Scout to retreat to one corner of the bar. After this year, Miles Fenton was going to have to sponsor this damn thing by himself, because Oliver Triston would be dead.

“Ah’ Love how ya’ make me drive. Ah’ didn’t even wanna come here, Kallie.” Kallie had ignored Barrett when he complained about showing up, because she was too excited about all the decorations. She wasn’t sure how the others felt about being here, but she thought that they could use some time away from the ranch house, so she had suggested the festival. After all, what was better to loosen up than a party? Of course she herself wouldn’t be able to drink, so she’d end up being the designated driver on the way back to Ioana, but it didn’t mean that she wasn’t going to have fun anyway.

She had also dressed for the occasion. She wore a long sleeved red shirt, fitted for maternity. The bump on her belly was colored white, something that Kallie’s mother had sown on herself. But you could only see a little bit of the white at the top because Kallie had glued all different colored pompoms over the rest. They were tiny, red, green, blue, white, and yellow. Just under that there was a square of cardboard painted gray, with a small, grocery store prize machine crank and slot painted on it in black, with 25 cents written neatly in the middle between them. With black pants and a little white and gray sailor’s hat, Kallie had made the most of her rounded belly. She only hoped no one tried to stick 25 cents in that slot.

“Anyone need a drink? I could use a beer but…” she said, glancing at Logan, of course knowing that she wouldn’t be able to drink. “I’d settle for an orange juice?” she said with an innocent smile.

Barrett hadn’t even wanted to be here. He had better things to do than come to a costume party. Of course, Kallie was about as forceful with him as her Aunt Karen, and here he was, dressed as an authentic cowboy sipping a beer in the unoccupied corner of the bar. Kallie was probably going to spend most of her time flouncing around, and he was sure that everyone had better things to do, so if Kallie was driving home, he was drinking. Why not, right? He gave a stretch. With a sexy costume entry on the list, maybe it wouldn’t be so bad. But he decided he’d be in this corner if anyone needed him.

Kallie had always been a fan of festivals, whether they be for the valley or the city, so it was no surprise to Logan that she had dragged him and a few others to Belham for this year’s Pumpkin Festival. He hadn’t planned on going until Kallie invited him along so he quickly threw together a costume, choosing a pirate costume from year’s previous when he had taken the twins trick-or-treating.

Logan hadn’t slept well again last night, so he was already a little tired when they arrived. The valley was so quiet compared to the city, and the silence made every sound of the house settling louder which woke Logan. However the city air did give Logan a slight boost of energy. The city always managed to do that for him.

He smiled softly when Kallie asked for an orange juice. “I’m sure I can scrounge something up,” he said, knowing he could go for a beer himself. “Anyone else want anything from the bar?”

Grace wasn’t a fan of going to Westhaven, but she did love festivals and loved an excuse to get dressed up. She had put a lot of thought into her costume, and dressing up as a princess who loved to bake and go adventures seemed like a great idea to her.

QUOTE
Grace had taken the time to braid her long blond hair off to one side, adorning it with a variety of colorful flowers. Her long purple dress reached to her ankles, the bodice well-fit while the skirt of the dress hung loosely around her legs. A light pink ribbon adorned the front of the bodice, zig zagging from her waist to the top, tied tight with a delicate bow. The shoulders of the dress were slightly puffy, and the material for the arms was sheer. To finish off the look she wore a pair of gold-colored gladiator sandals and a stuffed chameleon sat on her shoulder.

She arrived at the bar and just grabbed a simple soda. She wasn’t much of a drinker and she still had to work in the morning so she didn’t want to be hungover come then. She took to a side of the room looking at all the different costumes.

QUOTE
Oliver had gone in a different direction from his costume last year. This year he wore a spandex suit of light blue. On his feet were dark blue boots that matched the color of his cape the flowed freely from his shoulders. Around his waist sat a gold utility belt while his chest was emblazoned with a gold W. He wore an eye mask the same color blue as his suit.

He had arrived at the bar early since he was sponsoring the event again but had made sure to leave Scout’s costume with her. He hadn’t allowed her to peek at it, and he wasn’t sure how he would feel about it, but he was sure to love it. He had chosen their costume this year based on her nickname for him, Captain Westhaven, and his nickname for her, his siren or mermaid. He liked to tease her about mermaids often, so it seemed appropriate she should dress as one tonight.

Speaking of his siren, he spotted her hiding out in a corner. He grabbed two glasses of wine from the bar and sauntered over to his siren, a grin on his face as he saw how sexy she looked in that costume. “Captain Westhaven to the rescue once again,” he said, handing her the wine. “You look absolutely stunning.” He planted a kiss on her lips. “Do you like it?” he asked, motioning to the costume.

Autumn 30 | Evening | Belle, Tanuki. Open

Elowyn was silent for most of the trip over, gaze staring out the window from the backseat as she listened to the rest of the group's idle chatter. Barrett's soft complaining to Kallie keeping a slight smirk upon her face as they went along. It was rare that she had the chance to go to festivals, though there were a few times she rolled into a town during one. But this, this was different. Free drinks, dancing, costumes and contests, it all sounded like a blast yet at the same time she was a tad unsure. She was still getting used to the little group she found herself adopted into, tending to stick around Kallie when she wasn't doing her best to help with whatever was asked of her at the ranch. She hadn't spent much time alone with Barret or Logan to really consider them any more than people she lives and works with though she didn't really mind. Eye candy was always nice and there were plenty of days ahead that could change their acquaintance status.
QUOTE

As they entered the bar she looked out across the bar interior, face hidden beneath the hood of a red cloak which draped her frame. Red velvet soaked through and crusted with rusty flakes in splatters over it to give the illusion of blood splatter. As Logan asked the group if they wanted anything, her hands lifted up. Nails sharpened into claw-like points pulled the hood from her head, turning her gaze to him as she gave a smile. She was lucky to have an actress at her side, stage makeup of deep claw marks scratched across her blue eye built up with flaked shreds of skin at their edges and glistening red paint giving the look of the exposed muscle beneath. A clear contact doing little more than clouding her pupil white as her blue eye did it's own justice of cataract illusion and the bridge of her nose smoothed to continue the slope of her forehead in a half-snout fashion. Fangs peeked out from parted, bloodstained lips as her eyes dashed around in search for a menu, hand brushing back the blond curls of her let-loose hair from her face to tuck it behind her ears which were now brought to long twisted points. A hybrid between that and canine as the edges and tips were lightly coated in a soft dark brown fur.

"Do they have anything stronger? Whiskey perhaps?"
she asked, idly smoothing down the skirt of her brighter red dress. A tea-length swing dress done entire out of floral lace with sleeves reaching barely past her shoulders with a squared collar, a silken underlining keeping her modesty. A black velvet strap banded just above her waist, the front adorned with a simple matching bow. Her legs were left free and exposed, her own real scar giving the effect of past narrow escapes of her inevitable, and current, fate. Her feet were hidden within simple but shiny black heels, giving a gentle clack with every step she took.

FRIDAY AUTUMN 30, YEAR TWO • NIGHT • SUNNY
"Imagine there’s no pizza, I couldn’t if I tried"
[ TAG - Barrett, open ]

This year, Penny was actually hoping to win a prize in the costume contest. There was finally one she could do, and so, she did.

🍕 🍕 🍕

"Pizza's hot, I'm hot," were the words Penny had for anybody asking why she'd chosen to dress as quite the saucy slice of pizza. A puffy piece of fabric clearly meant to resemble crust trailed around the back of her neck and came forward to her collarbone, but it was all downhill from there. Or, rather, all down cleavage.

What was the point of a costume party if she couldn't show off her assets? The yellow "cheese" of the dress dropped right down, revealing more than a delightful eyeful, and the rest of the dress clung to her figure. A pattern of pepperoni, mushrooms, and peppers followed the slice right down to the tip which ended just two inches below those parts of her body. One wrong move and her red lacy panties would be on display for all to see, not that anybody really questioned whether Penny would care or not.

To complete the look, she'd worn red strappy heels of the stripper variety, a silly silver necklace with a small pizza charm, and her hair was tied up into pigtails. Penny was truly living for her look this year, and it was clear she had her eyes on the sexiest costume prize. Who could deny both pizza and her?

🍕 🍕 🍕

Like every Pumpkin Festival, Penny was on the prowl. Call it new meat to add to her meat feast, she wanted a fresh playmate. But, her eyes had spotted a little cowboy in the corner, and how could she let her number one sit there, all alone?

"Did somebody order a pizza?"
she purred as she crawled onto Barrett's lap, wrapping her arms around his neck and leaning in close. Yup, up went her dress at the back, giving those around her a nice view to look at if they had enough sense to realise being with a significant other on Pumpkin Festival was basically the end of their lives.

Zinnia Masterson

Date: Autumn 30
Time: Evening
Weather: Sunny

Tag: Belle OPEN

Zinnia usually didn't go to Pumpkin Festival parties, since festivals usually meant drunks and an uptick in crime. You'd be amazed how many people used festivals as an opportunity to rob places while the people who lived there were out on the town. But this year she'd decided that she'd at least show up. And she had a clever costume idea, too, something one of her co-workers who wouldn't be able to make the party had suggested to her. She didn't think most people would really "get" what she was supposed to be going as, but that would make it all the more fun when they asked her to explain.

QUOTE
She was wearing a slightly sheer lilac slip that barely brushed the middle of her thighs. The bust had a sweetheart neckline with spaghetti straps, and was done in a contrasting darker purple lace, the lilac silk of the slip showing through the negative space of the lacework. The lace design was floral, with scrolling leaves and delicate roses. The rest of the slip was mostly solid lilac silk, but she'd written on it with sharpie. The word 'transference' was scrawled across her diaphram, while the hem of her slip read "projection. Across one hip was 'regression', and she'd written 'latent desires' across her butt. The highlight of the costume, she thought, was where she'd written 'penis envy' across her nethers. Other words dotted the smooth material of her nightgown, such as 'id', 'neurosis', and 'sublimation'. She completed the outfit with a sensible pair of flats and headed out to the bar.

Once she got there, she immediately got the one beer she would allow herself to consume that night, since you never knew when you'd have to break up a bar fight, and scanned the crowd. Nothing too rowdy yet. Hopefully she could get through the party without having to step in and keep things from getting out of hand.

She had to hold back a snort of laughter when she spotted the "superhero" who'd shown up. His costume was utterly ridiculous! Who fought crime in a cape in real life? Of course, she knew for a fact that this man wasn't a crime fighter, because Westhaven was her territory and she'd know if someone was trying to horn in on her game. But it was funny, and a little ironic, that there was an actual superhero at this party, and it wasn't the guy dressed up like one. She walked closer to get a better look, trying to hold back her laughter as she called out "Great costume!"

(Going for most original here!)

Scout couldn’t help feeling as insecure as she did, once in a while trying to pull the skirt further up her hips only to find it uncomfortable. She wondered where Oliver was. He had shown up early so he was somewhere around here, she just didn’t know where he was. She looked around a second time, her sister being gone now too. She could feel the draft each time the door opened, but she was slowly warming up to the costume. It was then her sister reappeared, grinning. “So, guess who’s entered in the sexiest costume category?”

“You?” She asked as she surveyed her sisters revealing vampire costume. “Uh duh, but I also signed you up!” Scout stared at her with wide eyes. “You didn’t…Lucy!” she called after her sister as she sauntered away. “Great….” She mumbled, a light frown etched into her features. Though Oliver’s voice permeated her thoughts, and she was ready to yell at him for a moment. But would that really make a difference? No, no it wouldn’t. Instead she sighed and took the wine glass from him. “My hero.” She said as she looked up at him, returning the kiss as it was given to her. “Don’t think I didn’t notice how carefully you planned this though. You knew I wouldn’t be able to get out of this costume if I came here with Lucy. She entered me in your little contest.” She said, weakly pushing his chest.

She took a sip of the wine before answering his question. “I…wasn’t too sure how I felt about it when I opened the box.” She admitted as she shifted her position a little. “But I think it’s growing on me.” She answered. “Now that I’ve got my Captain Westhaven with me, it can’t be that bad, right?” She asked before taking another sip. “Well…I’ll admit the wine is going to help.” She mentioned. When someone called out to Oliver, she glanced in their direction. Her costume was….stranger than most she had seen. She wasn’t sure if anyone here would really get the purpose of a costume like that by the end of the night, everyone would be far too drunk. But she took another sip of her wine after another moment. She’d let Oliver deal with his compliment. She’d need more wine to make it through tonight.

Her cousin had abandoned the group early on. But when it came to doing things he didn’t want to, Barrett was always like a cat with a chip on his shoulder. On the way he had kept fiddling with his hat in an annoyed manner, but Kallie told him constantly about how great she thought he looked. His accent only made things all the better. Kallie used to have a bit of the same accent when she was younger, but she lost it very quickly in the city. Barrett had grown up in the south all his life, so for him it was there to stay.

When Elowyn asked for some Whiskey, Kallie turned to her looking astonished. “Wow, you sure start off strong now don’t you?” She said, though she smiled after a moment. Turning to Logan, she smiled at him meekly. “Um..Logan I…n-no pulp, please, remember?” She knew Logan knew she didn’t like the pulp in the juice. It was something about the texture that really just bothered her. But the moment he left her side, she wished he would come back as soon as he could. In just the few days since he had shown up at her door, it had become apparent to her how much she had truly missed him and wanted to be at his side. She had missed so much time she could have been by it, after all.

But she next grinned at Elowyn, looking over her costume excitedly again. “I still think you had such an amazing idea! You look really scary! I think you’ll win for sure, you know?” She gushed cheerfully. Kallie had been happy to help her with the make up when Elowyn asked, but the idea itself was all Elowyn’s. She had only done what she was told. “I’m glad you decided to come, I know you’re new to the area and all, but events like this are great ways to meet people!” She said cheerfully, hoping Elowyn was happy to be here. She wasn’t sure about Logan, but she knew he was aware how much she loved festivals, and she had been so happy he had decided to come too.

Autumn 30-Evening- Ethereal and OPEN

It hadn’t been more than a few minutes, and Barrett was already bored out of his mind. Sure the bartenders with the short skirts were a perk, but he could have been home getting work done right now. Instead he was here while Kallie and the others had a good time in a place he didn’t want to be. He didn’t really care if he was the Debbie downer of the group or not, Kallie knew he hated these things. It was annoying to have to dress up and for sure she didn’t actually expect him to have a good time, now did she. He sighed to himself as he took another sip of his beer.

Though in a few moments his tone would change for sure, as a very cheesy looking prospect perched herself in his lap. He recognized Penny’s voice immediately, it was very hard to mistake, and he grinned wryly as she leaned in close.

He knew she was on display, and maybe tonight wouldn’t be as bad as he thought. “Ah’ can certainly say ya’ really look good enough ta’ eat.” He said as he wrapped an arm around her waist, holding his beer in the other hand.“Even if ah’ve done that a lot already.” He remembered there was some type of contest, and perhaps that was what she was so dressed up for. Barrett certainly didn’t mind what had ended up in his lap.

“Maybe ya’ can save me a slice fer’ later.” He said, leaning back in his chair. “Ah’ can tell ya’ anyone in that contest probably already lost.” He said, referring to the fact she had likely entered. After all it was Penny, there was absolutely no reason for her not to. And she did in fact look damn good.

Pheonix Brookson
Bellham Bar /|\ Spoopy /|\ Autumn 30, evening.
Tsushimii @open

Pheonix couldn't help but wink at himself in the mirror, and immediately decided he would be doing a lot of that tonight. Because dang he looked good. It wasn't that he was vain, actually being a rather humble fellow, but he knew he looked good and there were a few occasions where he looked especially good. This was one of those times. He had considered going as an Arabic prince, but the prospect of going completely shirtless was iffy.

QUOTE
The costume he eventually had decided on fit him just right. It was a prince, but more rouge-like then an all-high-and-mighty-king. The fact that mostly relayed that point was his shirt and vest, which were unbuttoned and near halfway down his chest, partially revealing the tattoo upon it. The theme of the costume actually went quite well with the body art, and he pulled apart the dark leather vest a little bit more, revealing a knightly shield. Bits of the lashing tails of dancing dragons were revealed around it, but the fire they unleashed crept up to his neck, perfectly visible for anyone to gaze upon. A pair of swords were engraved behind the shield, and he had found a similar one to wear upon his belt, though it was fake. He rested a hand upon the realistic pommel of the sword, wrapped in well-worn leather.

Overall the costume accented him nicely. The loose, puffy white sleeves that fluffed out from under the vest closed around his wrist with a simple gold piece of elastic. The metallic yellow was spread throughout his outfit, drawing the eye to different places. It adorned the banded-crown upon his head, under which he had slicked back his black hair. There was some upon the latches of his long, dark leather boots that reached up just under his knee before the top bent back down, creating a small ledge. Gold also adorned his belt buckle.

If there were to be poses, considering this was a contest, after all, he decided to draw the sword from his scabbard, testing it's weight. It was made out of wood, but would still be dangerous, considering the maker had sanded the edge down to a very sharp angle. It was covered in metallic paint, giving it a more realistic feel, and some simple engravings that rolled up the side added immense detail. He had only afforded it by giving the man a tattoo.

Nix smirked at his reflection and then leaned forward in the mirror, reaching up to tug down one strand of hair to hang down to the side of his forehead, and then he sheathed the sword. His look was complete, and it didn't take long for him to mosey along towards the bar. It wasn't that late yet and already he could smell alcohol, not having to walk very far to get there, and the sounds of joy completely eliminated the usual peace. If he wouldn't have known exactly where he was going, it would have been very obvious.

He reached to stick his hands in his pockets, quickly realizing he didn't have any, and instead stuck his thumbs in his belt. It looked a bit off maybe, but he needed a place to rest his hands while he walked out of habit. Soon he was there, the laughter much louder and the scent much more prominent. A sigh escaped his lips, but he smiled anyways, hoping to avoid too much alcohol for the evening.

He was the type who enjoyed a drink or two, but much proffered waking up without a blistering headache and half his clothes off. Besides, if any drunk lasses went after him tonight he wanted the sense to deny them. The whole evening would be funner if he could remember thing with as much clarity as he could, though partying all night would drain most of his energy.

He stepped up to the place, glancing downward to make sure his outfit was in check before stepping inside, inhaling deeply. "Dadgum if the smell of alcohol alone gets me drunk I swear...." he muttered, shaking his head in amusement. this was sure to be an exciting evening, and maybe he'd see some old customers from his *tattoo shop.

The first thing, or rather woman, that he actually noticed was a familiar face. Though it was only vaguely familiar, and surprisingly enough belonged to someone from Ioana, he snuck up behind her, reaching over to tap her shoulder with a smirk. She was with friends, but he didn't really mind. Her costume was gorgeous, and the makeup only made it much more realistic. Actually, looking around the room, there were a lot of great costumes.

"What's a lovely lady like yourself doing in these parts of town?" he purred, winking as she turned around.

FRIDAY AUTUMN 30, YEAR TWO • NIGHT • SUNNY
"Imagine there’s no pizza, I couldn’t if I tried"
[ TAG - Barrett, open ]

“Thank you, thank you,”
Penny simpered, wiggling her shoulders. She knew she looked damned good. Hellooo, mirrors existed for a reason - so that she could admire herself in them. That didn’t mean Barrett’s reaffirmations of facts wasn’t appreciated by Penny’s huge ego, however, and she showed him just how much she appreciated them by giving his lips some one-on-one time with hers.

“You can have all the pizza you want, honey,”
she laughed, giving his nose a light tap. “You’re my favourite customer, after all.”

Pulling away, Penny spotted the beer he was holding. How he hadn’t dropped it when she’d arrived looking as amazing as she did was beyond her, but now she took it from him, prying it out of his hands. She took a sip, her nose wrinkling up as the bitterness hit her tongue.

“Come on now, Barrett,”
she teased, mischief entering that common smirk of hers as she gave the pint back to him. “Are you really going to sit here drinking watery beer? No wonder you looked so sad before I intervened.”

What could she say, she’d had enough expensive liquors and wines courtesy of Oliver Triston that she’d developed a taste for the good stuff.

Penny slid off Barrett’s lap and leaned against the bar as she clicked her fingers impatiently. Those who acted like VIPs got treated like VIPs, and the bartender was soon in front of her.

“Two sets of rainbow shots, thanks!”
she told the man, giving a coquettish wink just to make him move a little faster.

Autumn 30 | Evening | Tanuki, Blurb~, Open.

Kallie's comment brought a cheerful laugh to her, grin spread across her face as it showed off her fangs all the more.
"Hey, we're here to have fun right? That and I don't really like beer or wine. Liquor is just more my taste. Besides, it's free!," another laugh escaped her, still beaming as Kallie looked her over.

“I still think you had such an amazing idea! You look really scary! I think you’ll win for sure, you know? -- I’m glad you decided to come, I know you’re new to the area and all, but events like this are great ways to meet people!”

She waved a hand dismissively, her grin falling to a sheepish smile.
"Nah, it's not that great. I just liked fairytales as a kid... the originals. And you did most of the work. I'm just lucky I got a shining star by my side to do my makeup. As for coming, though, why not? It sounded like fun. Most festivals I've run into were a lot more quaint then a costume drunk party."

Her gaze trailed up and down her friend's frame, her smile turning into a playful one as her eyes lit up with a glimmer.
"Though, Kallie, I do hope you realize something. Your costume automatically warrants me nicknaming the little one Bubblegum. And I will explain it to him when he's old enough to question it." She gave another softer laugh before the feeling of fingers tapped upon her shoulder.

"What's a lovely lady like yourself doing in these parts of town?"

The voice was all to familiar as her smile once more turned to a grin, eyes falling upon the mans face as she turned. A quick once over and she couldn't help but stifle a giggle, grinning all the more.
"Ah, Prince Charming is it?" she teased, moving to stand beside Kallie as she faced him, "I'm here for the same reason as everyone else I suppose. Besides, the lovely lady here invited me." She looked him over once more before looking back to Kallie, giving another smile. "Kallie, this is Nix. I met him last week when I went off to the beach to fish."

Logan nodded when Elowyn asked for whiskey. “Knowing Triston is sponsoring it, I’m sure they have it. I’ll be back in a sec.” He paused when Kallie called to him. He nodded, pointing to his temple. “I remember,” he said with a grin and headed over to the bar.

Logan remembered a lot of Kallie’s likes and dislikes. They were things he had wished he was able to forget when she left, but had stuck in the recesses of his mind. They were little reminders of what he no longer had. Everytime he passed by a poster for a new play, he thought of Kallie auditioning for it. Everytime he passed a set of cat earrings, he thought of how Kallie would love them, how they would match the necklace he had given her before. Those reminders killed him.

But here he was now with Kalliope and he had another chance. They both still loved each other, there were just things the two needed to work through. Who knew how long it would take. But it wasn’t something he wanted to think on now at the festival. They were things that could be left for later. For now it was best to enjoy himself.

He ordered their drinks and made his way back to the group, seeing that someone else had joined them. He handed Kallie her orange juice and Elowyn her whiskey. He nodded at the man who joined them before taking a sip of his beer. “The bartender almost put vodka in there. Thought I wanted a screwdriver,” he said to Kallie.

He grinned. If he had left the choice up to Scout, she would’ve stayed in the library all night and studied until 2 in the morning. So he had to enlist the help of Lucy to get her sister here. He knew Scout wouldn’t be able to get out of the festival with her sister around. “As she should,” he said, looking her up and down once again. “You’re definitely the hottest one here.”

As he said that, he couldn’t help but notice a certain saucy slice of pizza making her way across the bar. He couldn’t help but let his eyes follow the swing of her hips as she walked by. It was a shame relationships meant only being with one person. His attention was pulled away however when someone called out to Oliver remarking on his costume. He turned to see who it was, a woman in some costume he didn’t quite understand, but wouldn’t bother asking about. “Thanks!” he said with his charming grin, raising his glass towards the woman before turning back to Scout.

“Seems Captain Westhaven is a big hit with more than just his siren,” he said with a playful grin that faded once he noticed Scout had pulled away from him. “Hmm, what’s wrong?”

Phoenix Brookson
Bellham Bar /|\ Autumn 30, evening /|\ Spoopy

"Ah, Prince Charming is it?" He grinned in return, baring his natural canines. A nod followed shortly after as she stepped away, allowing for him to relax and rest one hand upon the pommel of his sword. "I'm here for the same reason as everyone else I suppose. Besides, the lovely lady here invited me. Kallie, this is Nix. I met him last week when I went off to the beach to fish."

Nix flourished his hand an bowed before straightening. "Well, it is a pleasure to meet thee, fair lady Kallie." He smiled warmly, nodding his head as the man he assumed was her husband approached the pregnant woman. Amusement shone in his eyes as took note of the particularly adorable costume, but he held back from saying anything, not wanting folks to get the message. As much as his flirting tended to be innocent -he glanced towards Elowyn- he knew it often took folks off-guard.

While the man talked with Kallie, Nix sided over toward Elowyn. "I'll be honest when I say I didn't expect to see you again," he cooed, winking. "Especially not in the form of a prince. Alas, it seems you have discovered my true identity." With an eloquent flair he brought his hand to his forehead and turned his face away from her, pausing a moment for drama. Soon enough, however, he turned back, lowering his head. "It is thus that I might introduce myself properly, fair maiden of the red hood. For I am Prince Phoenix, at your service. " He bowed dramatically, failing to notice the server behind them. His sword sheath stuck out from behind him and the man rammed into it, having been hurrying around, and nearly knocked Nix over.

Nix spun around, hastily apologizing while the server clutched the could of menus. After a rather quick but good helping of "I'm truly sorry"s' coming from his mouth he turned back to face the group, smiling sheepishly. He shrugged, unable to think of a corny joke at the moment.

Autumn 30-Evening- Belle and OPEN

Scout held the wine in her hand, swirling the glass so the contents inside became more mixed up. Being here with Oliver was a lot of attention that she wasn’t exactly used to, but she was slowly easing into it as the days with him went on. She still felt the brunt of this new unexpected territory but she knew she loved Oliver and that was the main thing she tried to think of when it came to this whole situation. She would adjust to the attention, but not to losing Oliver because of it. “Oh, is that so?” She asked, raising an eyebrow as she noticed his attention shifting elsewhere. Not just elsewhere, but elseone. She glanced over, tracing his gaze to find that his eyes had landed on a saucy blonde that she had not only seen on the beaches of Ioana, but at the sailing festival as well. But saucy, literally, dressed as a slice of pizza. Sexy Pizza. How did you even sexualize pizza? clearly Penny had found a way.

And Oliver’s reputation still scared her, despite the fact that to her knowledge he had been faithful to her so far. How long was that supposed to last when presented with a room of sexy woman all competing for a prize? Bartenders who weren’t exactly dressed for church? These thought annoyed her, because she wanted to trust Oliver, but his past made it hard so early in their relationship for her to fully think she was the only one for him. It seemed both rational and irrational to her as she pushed away from Oliver, crossing her arms. “Yeah, so I’ve noticed.” She threw back the rest of her drink.

“Oh, nothing. Just noticed that you seem to be craving some Pizza.” She huffed. “Clearly Oliver, there are people here who are hotter than I am.” She turned on her heel, heading back towards her sister, who was drinking by one of the tables. “What’s crawled up your skirt? Doesn’t look like anything good.” She mentioned, pursing her lips as she handed her sister her glass of wine. “Nothing.” Her sister’s harsh reply was met with Lucy looking back at Oliver. “Need me to mess him up?”

“No.” Her sister’s reply had Lucy walking away while leaving her to simmer for a while. Lucy remembered the early days of her relationship and well…they weren’t much better.

When a new person entered their little group, Kallie’s attention turned to them. He seemed to be flirting with Elowyn, and that was when Logan had returned to them, holding her orange juice out for her and handing Elowyn her whiskey. “Well, it’s very nice to meet you.” She said as she took a sip of her orange juice before smiling warmly at her friend Elowyn. “and Logan, I’m sure I could have used that Screwball but the baby wouldn’t agree.” She said with a soft smile, looking to the door. “I need a little bit of air. Logan, would you come with me?” She asked, wanting to give Elowyn and her friend some space.

Autumn 30-Evening- Ethereal

Penny’s kiss was some addictive poison. He had no idea what the woman did or how she had managed it, but it had a huge effect on him. When she pulled back he smirked. “Good ta’ know. Ah’m a big fan of Pizza after all.” Well if he hadn’t been before, he was now,Penny made sure of that much. She slipped the beer from his hand easily, only because he didn’t put up a fight, though he may have had it been anyone else. She took a sip and then addressed him, and he shrugged. “What? Can’t ah’ enjoy a night off with a cold beer?” He asked with a sly smirk.

He knew however that Penny had quite the taste when it came to alcohol, so he didn’t complain when she slipped out of his lap to make her way over to the bar. He followed after her, curious as to what she was going to order. And in fact Penny was not a person who ordered lightly. No, she ordered two sets of rainbow shots, something he heard from Kallie was common in Westhaven.
“So, what’re those colorful lil’ drinks supposed ta’ do, penny? Look pretty or...” He asked, hands crossed behind his back as he looked over her shoulder.

The bartender laid out two sets of rainbow shots, making sixteen in total. Eight for her, eight for him.

“They’re pretty and will get a smile on your face real quick, sweetie,”
she told him.

“You can take shots like a man, right?”
she asked as her fingers slid across the bar, ready to take her first red rainbow shot. “First one to down them all wins and can make the other do anything they liiike."

OPEN
Mention: Ethereal Penny

A simple outfit to match the mischievous occasion. All black erry'thing. Well, except of course for the cherry on top, or in this case pumpkin. It was just a molded piece of plastic to wear over his face, but he felt clever, smirking away behind the flimsy jack-o-lantern mask. The jagged grin jutted out mockingly from the opposite side. His breath felt hot against his cheeks, unable to escape from underneath the disguise, especially when compared to the crisp air that kissed the rest of his lanky body. He'd been planning this outfit all year, or at least since last Autumn's event. Halloween wasn't just a day for Ender, it was a lifestyle. Plus, now that he rightfully owned bragging rights as King of the valley, what costume was more fitting than Jack, the pumpkin King? Gourd Royalty, really.

He entered through the heavy doors. The air was thick inside the bar. Bodies squirmed and glasses clanked together in celebration from every direction. He pulled his orange facade down over his eyes and made his way through the crowd. A few faces stood out, but none worthy enough to be graced with his spooktacular company. He noticed a certain hemorrhoid of his dressed as a Pizza. Sad. What an insult to such a great delicasey. He clicked his tongue in disgust and turned his nose up at her cheesy monstrosity.

He refused to be seen with such uncouth and scantily dressed barbarians.

So, he did what he did best.

Ender stood aloof towards the back of the room with his slender arms crossed.
