Year 1, Fall 30 (Evening) || Outfit || Tags: Open (Mentions: Celeste (Rii))

Sam had the day off, since the bar would be hosting the Pumpkin Festival. That wasn't to say he wasn't going to show up. Maybe he could serve as musical entertainment if they really needed it? A costume was something he was going to avoid, though. His green hair was outstanding enough as is. Sam wasn't about to make himself look worse or sillier with some disguise. The walk to the bar was quick, but allowed enough time to burn through one cigarette.

Stepping inside, he saw a few people already here for the festivities. But there was no familiar face he could spot in the crowd. Sam walked over to the bar, only to be surprised when he saw a sign advertising free drinks for the night. Well, if he would be allowed to get any drink he wanted without paying for it, he would take advantage of it. One glass of Scotch for the green-haired boy.

Looking around again, there was a small group of people talking and socializing. Doing things that Sam wouldn't willingly engage in. But Sam spotted a woman in a pirate outfit, one he seemed quite sure to identify. But he wasn't going to risk getting her attention. It would've been a lose-lose situation: Either it was a stranger that he'd mistaken for Celeste Alberona, or it was Celeste Alberona, in which case she would probably start telling embarrassing stories about Sam and herself to these people he didn't know.

Rather than initiate any interaction, Sam decided to sit near the wall. Maybe someone would come to him. If not, he was free to leave after enjoying a few more solitary drinks.

20 years // female // Jacklonesome

After she had left Sam's apartment, she had wandered around and heard about the pumpkin festival from a few people who had been watching her play. Granted, she wasn't much of a group person - but they had mentioned possible free alcohol, and she wasn't one to turn down free booze. So, having spent a good deal of the money she had made over the past couple days, Ignatius had gone shopping for a costume.

Most female costumes she had found were flashy or very revealing, which was not her style at all. She thought back to her childhood days and remembered dressing up as a cat - a large one piece suit. All she found at the shop was a rabbit suit, pink, which would work. Having stowed away her belongings in a safe spot, Iggy made her way to the bar, hoping not to attract too many stares on her way there. However, since many were headed in costume already, she needn't worry.

Opening the door to the bar, she was hit with a wall of various conversations going on and wafts of food that made her stomach rumble. Pulling her hood forward more, she glanced about and found the bar and an open stool.

The perky rabbit ears attached to the hood of her costume flopped to the side as if showing her cautious mood. Unlike many of the women present, her outfit did not flatter her form what-so-ever, and she was fine with that. Crinkling her nose she slid her hands out of the paw-like gloves that were attached to the sleeves and tapped on the top of the bar. Having to raise her voice a bit, she ordered a pumpkin spice beer with a small and quick smile.

As she waited for the tender to serve the beer, she noticed Sam's green hair. Besides his hair, he stood out by keeping to himself and not dressing up. At the thought of him seeing her dressed as a bunny, Iggy contemplated whether or not to start a conversation with him. Why the heck not, this'll be awkward otherwise.

Grabbing her beer that was waiting, she paid and hopped off the stool (no pun intended). Carefully passing through the sea of people, Iggy found an empty spot near him to stand and allowed her hood to push back from her face a little. She pushed her blonde bangs from her line of vision and mustered up a smile. "Fancy seeing you here."

"Listen to me. The human world is a mess"

QUOTE

The way his eyes sparkled when he saw her reminded Brine of a man who had looked upon an oasis after wandering the harsh desert. She wondered for a moment why he looked so relieved. Was he that in love with her already? Sure they had only spent one night together, but Brine knew that she had an effect on people. Her wolf gaze could tell when someone was taking more of her in than just her smiling face. Perhaps he liked what he saw a little more than he indicated the Last time. Then again…she was straddling his hips in practically nothing.

A man could only hide so much.

"Ahem. You are the one who passed out before we could have any fun, you stole my bed and my dog. You are cold-hearted Brine Ghallen."Dramatically she looked taken aback before grinning cheek to cheek. Brine hadn’t meant to fall asleep right when the fun was starting. Alcohol combined with a fuzzy dog and a warm bed had pulled her off into dreamland right before anything interesting happened between two adults. Hell…she had practically tricked him into letting her stay too. Ender should have woken her up…she might have owed him that much.

"Besides." Silver eyes sparked as she watched his mouth twist into a smirk. The fabric of his sweater sent goose bumps running down her skin like wildfire. Her lack of clothing was doing nothing to help the sensations those strong arms were causing; there was nothing to keep the signs hidden from his chocolate gaze.

Being pulled against a man was something that Brine wasn’t all that familiar with. Sure she spit mad game, but she was used to being the one in control; a black widow so to speak. Ender was stronger than she would have originally guessed…it made him seem all the more ‘man’ to her. When his hot breath snaked around her ear she found that she couldn’t manage to sit still; her hips involuntarily moving about as to try and become comfortable again.

"Isn't this better than cuddling?" Better? How so? Now she was restless with some gnawing ache that she couldn’t quite locate. It was aggravating and yet she found herself wanting to know more about it. Taking advantage of his face being so close, Brine grasped the hair on the back of his head and pulled it to a better vantage point.

Silver eyes glowing with mischief, Brine licked his bottom lip before sucking it fully into her mouth. There she teased at it with her tongue. Two could play this game, and all the better that they had a potential audience. Slowly she released his lip, but not before biting at it just enough as to not cause much pain. “I can think of a quite a few things that are better than cuddling Ender,” She tapped at his nose before grinning again. “THAT only being one of them”

Despite what a fun time they were having already, it was time to address why he was acting more odd than usual. “So what’s with the boldness this evening? Last time it took me quite a few drinks to get you this friendly” Brine laced her arms around his neck and smirked.

“Someone here you’re not particularly fond of?”

QUOTE

Originally he had had no intention of doing absolutely anything that evening, but after two hours of wandering his apartment like some sort of maniac he had decided to go against his own wishes. What was he going to do, walk around until he had become so fatigued that he simply fell asleep? That sounded completely ridiculous.  When he finally decided to exit his purgatory, he discovered a small paper taped to his door. Pulling it off, he inspected it closer.

A wide smirk replaced the grimace that had been there before. A party eh? There were worse ways to spend an evening. To top it off Oliver Triston was to be there. Howl had been meaning to make his acquaintance since moving into the building. This would be the best way for the two of them to meet to be certain. Excitement filled his cold eyes as he walked back into his apartment to prepare for what was to be an interesting evening.

A few hours later he was walking into the famous 'Belham Bar' of Westhaven. He'd been there only a few times before. Each time the place had been completely packed with tourists. As he walked in, Howl wondered if maybe he should have stayed home after all. His costume seemed to stand out among the sea of cartoon-looking, half-naked citizens. Good god he felt like he was at an inappropriate kids party. At least no one could tell who he was through the mask covering half of his face. Most likely no one would approach him tonight unless feeling bravery due to some sort of liquor.

Running a hand through his silver mane, Howl made his way over to retrieve for himself a drink. He was already here anyway...might as well have a good time and enjoy free booze. After a few minutes longer than he would have liked to wait, Howl was sipping on what tasted like vintage pinot noir. A smile formed on his lips as he remembered why he was here. Looking around, ice blue eyes searched for the man of the hour.

But Triston wasn't whom Howl's eyes rested upon. Why of all places did Alberona have to be here? Couldn't she find some other party to crash on a Wednesday evening? A sigh left his lips as he continued to stare at her. The last time they had seen each other was over a week ago. At the time she looked like she had slept in a barn after someone had had their way with her. Tonight...was different. The pirate costume fit her a little too well for his own comfort. Lightly he tugged at his toe before taking another drink from his glass. It was then that he noticed her company and the friendly way she acted towards the male closest to her.

Interesting.

| Kyle/Tarry // Celeste/Rii // Penny/Ethereal | belham bar | fall 30 | who the hell knows |

Soon enough, Artemisia had both Kyle and Celeste on their flank and they had no idea what to do. They simply just stood there awkwardly in their bunny outfit and nodded along to everything that was being said. Stay away from the weird man with cat heads on him, right. That was easy enough, because having cat heads on you was a very weird thing anyway and Arte wasn't exactly sure if they liked that idea in the first place. It was just very... weird. There was no other word to describe it.

But then a girl with bright orange hair had come along and started kissing the girl who had called them cute, and then Kyle and Celeste were also kissing in front of everyone, and Arte was just standing in the middle having no idea what was going on. It didn't help that there were lots of people now looking their way and they felt very much in the centre of all the attention, which they didn't like one bit, not at all.

If they had to be totally honest, their entire thought on the situation was just, "Ew.."

So they ducked down, and with bunny ears bobbing along on the top of their head, betraying their position, made their way through the crowd with mumbled 'excuse me's' and 'sorry's as they went off in search of the lemonade that they had been promised. Arte had some coins that Kyle had given them in the case that they wanted to get their own drink. On their way, though, they couldn't quite see where they were going and ended up bumping into someone dressed up as... something they didn't know.

"Sorry," they said sheepishly, trying to find where the lemonade was. "Um. Do you know where I can get lemonade?"

| Ender/[Aofie // Penny/Ethereal // ft. others | belham bar | fall 30 | lol idfk |

She was enjoying herself until she saw Ender.

Well. She was still enjoying herself, and judging by the look on his face, he wasn't exactly happy about what she was doing, which was half the intention, because jealousy was a fun thing to play with, but Lisbeth was not expecting her own to flare up out of fury when another woman started messing around with him. And judging by his response, he was playing the same game as her.

Oh, it was on. And if that woman wasn't careful, she was going to have glass shards embedded into her skull.

She was very much appreciative of the fact that Penny was taking her over the other woman (or whoever she was talking about, at least). Obviously they were one of the best couples in the room even if they weren't technically a couple, and it was one of those feelings that Lisbeth adored. She giggled derisively when Penny told the other woman to fuck off, and she gave the woman a victorious smirk before re-occupying herself.

It was time for it to end, soon enough, and Lisbeth figured she needed to start her night with some alcohol. She pressed a finger to Penny's lips with a smirk. "Penny, m'dear, can I get you a drink?"

That, and she had some serious flipping-off to do when she passed Ender on the way there. He was going to see her displeasure. At least her's was only in jest, after all.

"It's fine, Arte. Me and Celeste will keep you safe and hide you whenever you want." Giving Kyle a look that told him she wasn't impressed. Sure, she would look out for Artemisia, but she didn't need the man pointing out her obvious affection. Rolling her eyes and slinging her arms around Arte, Celeste's eyes fell on the man who had the magnets on. How strange could one be to wear such a stupid attire? Celeste was quick and tried to encourage Penny to look and marvel the fool.
"Not now, Celeste, Can’t you see I’m busy?” Celeste was quickly dismissed and Celeste was in sheer disbelief. How could she not want to find amusement in the magnetic aristocrat. Celeste wasn't even going to bother questioning the woman's decision as she returned to playing tonsil tennis with the woman called Beth.

Turning her attention to Kyle having missed the warning he gave Artemisia, Celeste was busy quizzing over why he was wearing such absurd attire and even questioning if the pirate wanted to be seen with the...whatever.

He smirked one of his usual evil smirks and Celeste just pressed her hands to her hips and rolled her eyes at him. Not today was that smirk going to give her butterflies. She had every right to brush it off and ignore it.
Soon with her comparison, his lips changed shape and he was now scowling at her.
"Hah. Of course This One would be better than one such as he, who knows not of what be important." This One? Kyle was far too in character.
Oh boy, Celeste was already beginning to feel mentally exhausted and she hadn't even touched her glass of wine. His eyes met hers, but she tried to avoid and reach for the wine. Big mistake.

Being pulled by the waist into his clutches, Celeste's hands pressed to his chest and she tried to push away ever so slightly.
"This One must say, for a pirate, you are careless to be leaving such treasure in the open, for the eyes of many to be laid upon. For, to their displeasure, this treasure is to be claimed by This One, who shall partake in such high class goods." Staring at him with bewilderment, Celeste's face stung red and she was quick to glare at him in order to hide the embarrassment. Before she could even respond, her lips were pressed to his and Celeste's hands slid down, hanging loosely either side of her. Heaving a sigh, Celeste's eyes were filled with defeat. Whoever this person was, Kyle needed to stop portraying them. She may as well as reciprocate the kiss.

Finally able to pull away, Celeste stood there dumbfounded and with a quick click of the tongue she folded her arms and looked to the side with defiance; a small smile forming on her lips quickly.
He was a fool.
"Though it must be said, to compare This One to that poor excuse for a human, you insult This One. Has pirating on the seas not made you delusional, Ms. Alberona?"
Kyle was really into his character. Celeste was at a loss for words, but she was sure to stall. She'd make a witty comeback when it came to her mind.

"Oh, yer a fool," Celeste responded quickly trying to place on a heavy, stylised Western accent just to be proud that it sounded decent enough. "Fer me the sea is me life. Me love. Me passion."

She could feel eyes on her.
Eyes that was making her feel cold. Her skin crawled slightly. How she hated people staring at her without her knowing. The feeling was so foreboding. Whipping around to see who it was, her eyes fell on a man in a wolf mask with silver hair.
Now who did silver hair belong to?

Looking towards Arte herself with a feel like something was off Celeste was quick to note that there was not much of an Arte left. Not even her shadow.
"Yarr, Mr. Wei- Oh for goddess sake. Arte's wandered off." Looking around briefly and catching sight of the rabbit eared being wander off in a general direction, Celeste's sighed. "You go fetch her, I'm going to try and finally drink this wine and get some beverages." Picking up her wine and snaking away from the group herself, Celeste's eyes fell upon everyone around them.

Now there was Oliver and his two groupies who Celeste had little to no interest in. Looking around elsewhere, her eyes fell on a certain wolf-masked man who had been staring at her. She needed to find out his reason behind that soon enough. Her eyes also fell on a green-haired man with a woman talking to him. Why was Sam here? Probably stalking her. Celeste rolled her eyes and heaved a sigh. She understood he found her irresistible, but was it so much so he'd follow her? She'd need to talk to him about that.

An obnoxious voice seemed to reach her ears first. A woman's voice that Celeste could compare to nails on a chalk board. Why the hell was Lucy here? If she was here, that meant Gavin was too. Looking towards the direction of the voice, Lucy was busy talking to some other woman whereas Gavin was nowhere to be seen.
So many people she knew. So many.

A girl was standing by herself looking like she had seen a ghost or something similar. Celeste found her intriguing and was amused by her choice of clothing, but she'd have to speak to her later.
Making her way up towards the bar with her glass of wine, Celeste looked towards Sam with a small smirk.
"Good evening Sam and.... Sam's friend," With a quick tip of the hat, Celeste weaved through the crowd and soon arrived towards the man in the mask.

"I say, if you're going to stare..." Celeste cocked her head, looking at the masked man; her eyes catching sight of those blazing blue eyes. Silver hair, blue eyes. "Flower boy," Sipping her wine, Celeste's eyes shifted in the direction of Kyle very briefly. "Why are you here? Don't tell me you're another one of Triston's groupies." Westhaven Scum.

Loud sounds bombarded her the moment she stepped within the doors of the bar. Warm are breezed by, lifting her hair past her shoulders, before settling back unto their respective positions. Her dress also did a little dance, if only for a second as well. The one thing that did disorient her, was the amount of people within the small space of the room. So many bodies...

Evie clenched her jaws together, feeling her skin pale as she began to panic.

It's okay... I can do this. Not like anyone is going to really bother me. Which was probably the truth. She was new here, and the most anyone would do would either compliment her dress, or simply avoid her. She hoped for the first one, seeing as how this was merely a way for advertising her wares. Yes, that's it! Couture Dubois was making it's debut, and what better way than for the Pumpkin Festival? Even if she didn't win the contest, at least she'd get a few inquiries.

Feeling better about the situation, Evie stepped her way toward the bar to look at the offered selections. Her gaze quickly ran over those who were already there. A hint of nervousness but a dash of courage had her squeezing her way in, find a small slot near the corner of the bar. It was a secluded little area, enough to watch the whole room without being seen so well. Not that she was spying! She just needed time to adjust. Being alone for so long and suddenly taking the plunge felt...well, it felt like drowning.

Good news though!

"Oh, this is free?"

This is...AMAZING, she hadn't known it was going to be an open bar. Ah, it just meant she needed to pace herself though. She was a horrible drunk and the last thing she wanted was to act a fool or throw herself at someone. Evie shuddered, then giggled at the thought before having moved a slender finger over a menu. After selecting her desired drink, a deliciously smooth white wine that she loved, Evie collected the crystal flute and turned to spy the patrons. Her shadowed eye clasped upon many. Some caught eye contact, some didn't. Either way, she was fine just watching the going on's of everyone around her. Observing her possible clientele was always a smart move.

Conversations flowed around her, cocooning her in multiple personalities. There were all sorts here, it would seem. Hmm... Evie lifted her glass, resting her rosy lips upon the edge before taking a sip, nursing the drink rather than gulping it as she did in her younger days. She was classier now, didn't ya' know.

Kissing someone in a bar that was far beneath you financially and physically seemed like an idea only an idiot would have. Alberona definitely didn't look like she was enjoying it very much...but it was her own damn fault that she didn't shove the bloke off. Celeste was stronger than she looked if he remembered right. Smirking to himself, Howl remembered their little encounter a little while back. Luckily she wasn't strong enough to fight off one of his hands.

"I say, if you're going to stare..." How long had he zoned out for? Before he knew it the object of his...interest? was in front of him with blazing sapphire eyes. The poor girl just couldn't help herself. She was drawn to him like a moth to a flame. It made sense considering what an interesting time they had against the wall at the flower shop. A shame that he hadn't taken the black rose with him; it would have made a lovely memento.

"Flower boy," He chuckled as he lifted his mask. "You got me princess," This time he let his eyes wander over her blatantly. "Nice costume" There was no way he was going to let her off for wearing such a thing. Coming to this party had given him more opportunities than he would have guessed. When else would he see her like this...unless in an even better situation. Pulling at his tie again, Howl felt his blood heat up again. He really needed to get a handle on whatever illness this sea wench brought with her.

"Why are you here? Don't tell me you're another one of Triston's groupies." The disgust in her voice was more than evident. For a moment he wondered what she had against Triston, but then he remembered he didn't really care about her opinion. She wasn't anything to him, and therefore he shouldn't worry about if she liked someone or not. "And what if I am?" His eyebrow arched in challenge before dropping back to its normal place. "Don't worry princess, I haven't even met Mr. Triston yet, though that's precisely the reason I came tonight"

Taking a drink from his glass, Howl gestured to the man that Celeste had been seen embracing. "Though now I have something a little more interesting on my mind" The smirk laced his lips like every time he spoke with her. "How did it feel being kissed by that boy of yours?" His cold eyes studying her face as he spoke. "I mean...he doesn't look that experienced" Putting an elbow to the wall and running a hand through his hair yet again, Howl leaned it to whisper. "How would he feel if the wolf gobbled you up right here?" Leaning further...he was dangerously close to her neck, but then he pulled back. "Too bad the wolf doesn't like the taste of pirates"

The challenge had been thrown down.

"You got me princess," Celeste's fingers clenched the stem of the red wine she had in her grasp. Any tighter and it would probably shatter. How she loathed that word, but her lips and expression showed no sign of annoyance and she just watched him with her usual glare. Their cold eyes usually rivalled each others, but Celeste was in a good mood and Howl was not going to ruin it. (Not like he ever had anyway.)

Howl's eyes wandered across her body and Celeste just puffed her chest out slightly and tapped the tip of her boot against the floor.
"Nice costume" Howl complimented her and she just laughed softly.
"I wish I could say the same for you, flower boy, but if I wanted to flirt with a Wolf - I'd talk to Sam." Tilting her head to the side and gesturing in Sam's general vicinity, Celeste's sapphire eyes examined his mask. "It doesn't suit you. It needs more..." Looking around, Celeste picked up an orange flower with her free hand and placed her glass briefly down just to tear the petals off before sprinkling them over his head. "of a floral feel."

Howl pulled at his tie and Celeste shifted her eyes to it, picking her wine glass back up and sipping her drink.
"I didn't know you got all choked up every time you saw me," I'm on a roll today! "I'm flattered. Really."
Tracing her tongue over her upper lip and catching the droplets of red wine, Celeste pursed her lips once more. Howl always amused her within the three times they met.

When push came to shove, however, Celeste couldn't stand the idea of being here in the presence of Oliver himself. Sure, they had 'something' as teenagers, but that was all it was. Celeste had grown up to be the sophisticated woman she was and Oliver had grown up to be a walking metal detector.
"And what if I am?" His voice sound challenging and Celeste sighed, closing her eyes. "Don't worry princess, I haven't even met Mr. Triston yet, though that's precisely the reason I came tonight" Celeste opened her eyes slightly, looking at him through half-lidded eyes. Shaking her head, she folded her arms and press the glass to her forearm.
"If I were you, I'd count that as a blessing Mr. Winthrop," Celeste responded coldly. "Mr. Triston is not someone you want to be friends with."

Howl took a sip of his own drink and Celeste copied him with her own, watching him with wonder.
"Though now I have something a little more interesting on my mind" Lowering the glass and placing it on a table, Celeste tilted her head slightly; fingers pressing to the hat to prevent it from falling.
"...and what would that be? If you do not mind telling me."
"How did it feel being kissed by that boy of yours?" That boy? Celeste's eyes focused on him as she recalled the scene he had referred to. Kyle being Kyle and pulling her into a kiss. Usually she'd push it away and class it as PDA. It was like he was trying to get a reaction from her, Celeste knew it'd be wrong to show him just the expression he wanted yet her face stung with warmth.
"I mean...he doesn't look that experienced" He had her right where he wanted her. She didn't know what the very definition of experienced was. Celeste always went with the flow, but now she didn't know what the flow was.

Celeste stood there with wonder, debating how she should respond. Her lips formed an awkward smile before she closed her eyes and recollected herself. Not today, Mr. Winthrop.
"I promise you, his lips are to die for." Celeste responded softly, her voice a low whisper. How was she going to respond? He had caught her.

Howl pressed his elbow to the wall and leaned in. His breath tickled her ear and neck, but she forced herself to remain calm and show no signs of fluster. These two places were sweet spots, especially for the sexually active aristocrat.
"How would he feel if the wolf gobbled you up right here?" The wolf? Was Howl referring to himself. Celeste tilted her head slightly as if she was contemplating it. Just how would Kyle react? She could feel the heat from his breath and skin near her neck and it sent a small shiver down her spine.
"Too bad the wolf doesn't like the taste of pirates" Howl leaned back and Celeste's lips formed a smirk.

Her hands reached up to his cheeks and her lips drew close.
"Oh, Mr. Winthrop. I'd hate to tell you this seeing as you're clearly hoping for more, but..." Celeste's nails traced his cheeks before she lifted her hand to his hair and played with it before taking a step back.

"This pirate does not favour uncultured beasts," Taking another step back to draw some space between them, Celeste's lips smirked. Howl may have had her in his clutches not too long ago, but she was no damsel in distress. "This is not a fairy tale, Mr. Winthrop or should I say Howl." Celeste's eyes held his and she picked up her wine glass. "I'm afraid you'll have to get in line. This pirate will only have one crew member on her ship at all times and that spot is taken, if you want a turn on my glorious boat you may want to..." Celeste's eyes looked him up and down. "Grow a bit. Perhaps you should make like your name and howl to the moon, wolf pup."

Believe it or not, Ender wasn't one for public displays of affection. But this was different. This was red, hot, lust filled revenge. The weight of the petite blue haired minx felt amazing against his hips. He hadn't realized how empty that space had felt until she'd filled it with her warmth. The cop couldn't resist pushing his own body upwards to meet her firm squirming behind. She must have known what she was doing, for her to shift the way she had. Ender's lips twitched into a suspicious grin. When he had whispered to her he felt her quiver in his sculpted arms, and suddenly she had a fist full of his thick brown hair, and was pulling him closer.

He knew that Brine liked to tease him, but he had not expected her next move. Her warm tongue traced his bottom lip seductively. Instinctively he slid his hands gently up her sides and to the soft skin of her back. Again, she caught him off guard with the nibble. His eyes flickered opened as a smirk appeared on his face. “I can think of a quite a few things that are better than cuddling Ender,” she brought her finger to his nose and tapped it lightly. That was the first time she had called him by his name. He couldn't help but pay attention to small details like that. Cop mentality. Plus, he was used to Basco, or Sheriff Basco at least five days out of the week. “THAT only being one of them” He chuckled, half wanting to make a joke out of it and say 'Pizza'. He thought she might appreciate that. He losened his hold on her so she could sit up, the cool air flooded in between their bodies. His sweater was starting to feel more and more constricting as the night went on. He felt overdressed compared to most of the other patrons of the bar. That included Brine. “So what’s with the boldness this evening? Last time it took me quite a few drinks to get you this friendly” The girl brought her arms up and around his neck. His brown eyes met hers while he debated in his head on telling the truth or forgetting about the red head who was currently causing him distress. He wasn't going to bury the hatchet one this one. He couldn't. How do you bury the hatchet with someone, when they are the one who keeps plunging it into your back?

She must have detected something, even through his confident smile, because she didn't even wait for an answer before asking yet another question.“Someone here you’re not particularly fond of?” Was it that obvious? How about, everyone here besides you? Was that an acceptable answer? Could he tell her someone had forgotten to take the garbage out and now it was stinking up this very bar, drinking all the liquor, wearing skimpy costumes and pissing him the fuck off. Ender wasn't sure where to even begin, he had so much history with Westhaven and it's inhabitants that these grudges were more malicious than a damn volcano. He leaned as nonchalantly as he could to the side. He was looking at Brine, but also looking through her, past her actually. To his displeasure Lisbeth was lingering nearby. Without a second thought turned his glance back to his alluring company. Even though he didn't know her well, he knew she could smell bullshit from a mile away. He also remembered that she hadn't allowed him to avoid any questions on their last adventure together. It was better not to lie. He needed at least one friend tonight. "So mermaid? I could say the same about you. I'm bold this evening? You're the one who sat on my lap in a crowded bar. You are the bold one. Plus, you know what happens when I drink. Have you forgotten?" He asked rolling his hips slightly under her. One question down.

Ender moved one of her long blue locks behind her ear delicately, he rested the back of his hand against her cheek briefly before slowly sliding it down her face and resting it again on the curve of her hip. He hoped that Lisbeth saw, because that was exactly the move he'd used on her just before she kissed him that day at the station. "Not particularly fond of? You could say that." He declared staring Lisbeth down from behind Brine, the blue haired girl may have not seen her, but Ender had a clear view from where he was sitting. His lips pulled into a mischievous grin. "Or maybe I am actually fond of a particular person, did you think of that? Maybe blue just happens to be my favorite color?" He quipped with a smile. He hadn't honestly thought of her like that until now. Though lets be real, she had made him some amazing pizza, and she liked Nylah. The most direct route to this man's heart, just happened to be his dog.

Auden Basco

Tag: Arte Hakumei

Auden had only just turned 21 a week before. This was her first year at Pumpkin Fest that she would actually be allowed to indulge herself in the adult beverages. Tonight, she happened to be very eager to get started. She'd made her brother tell her about all the drinks he liked, every one he'd ever tried whether he'd enjoyed it or not. She wanted it to be monumental, the moment her pink lips touched their first taste. Though so far she wasn't having much luck. The bartender kept somehow missing her despite her bright green face and pointy crown, skipping her to serve others who happened to be dressed much sexier than she was. She figured it was most likely on purpose, and it made her blood boil. People who objectified women made her sick. This was why she jumped at her first opportunity the leave this damn city and went down to Dune Valley with her parents. She was trying her best to cool her hot temper, but after being shot down and ignored by the third server tonight, she was going to have to take matters into her own hands. Maybe she could sick her brother on them? He was tall, loud, and demanding when he needed to be. He would do anything his younger sibling asked, well not everything. He refused to wear the costume she'd sewn for him. She searched the crowd for Ender, but had trouble noticing him underneath his blue haired companion. She didn't expect to catch him locking lips with anyone tonight! As weird as it was to see him getting some action, she couldn't help but feel sort of proud that he was sharing a part of himself with another person. He had a lot of offer, but he could be such a stiff.

She had been so busy silently celebrating her brother, that she hadn't seen the other person walking towards her direction. They collided, but somehow managed to do it gracefully. Auden turned on her heels to see what had caused her childish, cheering to come to a halt. "Sorry," they said shyly. "Um. Do you know where I can get lemonade?" She stared blankly for a moment, she had not expected the other person to stop and ask questions. She was actually surprised they'd even said sorry. It was very crowded, they could have gotten away with bumping her and darting off. She appreciated their manners. They looked lost, the meekness in their eyes gave them away. She turned to look back towards the bar where she had been ignored earlier. Maybe if they went together they would have better luck? After all, the costume the they were wearing was much cuter than hers. Basco's were kinda selfish by nature."Uhm, sure I will get you some lemonade, here follow me." For some reason she got the impression that this person wouldn't have been able to get the job done if she had turned her loose and just simply pointed her in the right direction. "My name is Auden by the way, I like your costume. It's very cute. Are you from Westhaven?"

Kyle's aim was not to fluster his partner. Though he seemed oblivious to the fact that his actions could be interpreted as such. After all, this is the persona he decided to adopt for his costume. Though judging by Celeste's reactions, he figured he should probably drop it. Though, it was fun see Celeste acting like a pirate. After everything was said and done, it seemed his partner had found someone of interest. Following her eyes just slightly with his own, he caught sight of what looked like a wolf mask. While slightly conflicted on what would happen later, his mind was brought to attention at the mention of a wandering bunny.

Looking around, the bunny Arte had indeed gone missing from beside them. Though he did see the ears flopping about among the crowd, so he knew what direction to head. As he started walking off with a nod, he looked back briefly to see her talking to that wolf man. He didn't know whether to be worried for Celeste and her actions, or worried for the wolf for the actions of Celeste. It could swing multiple ways from what he had observed of the woman, so he would just need to wait for results.

Heading into the crowd, he kept a little distance from the bunny as he watched and heard her apologizing as she bumped into many, before finally colliding with another girl who seemed to be busy tasting the different alcoholic things. While he was concerned for how Arte would fair, since he was a bit protective of her over the last couple of weeks, he knew she would need to become independent of his support eventually. Deciding to look back every now and then, he went over to the tables loaded with free drinks and picked out what he hoped was a white wine. Red wine was for when he wanted to enjoy his time, and white wine was for when he just needed a drink.

As he got himself a glass, beside him was a woman similarly in an extreme outfit like himself. And upon assessing it, he nodded with a satisfied smile. With the right indigo purple eye visible on his face, he gazed at her as he took in all the details. While his was more of a fashion based on art, hers was a fashion based on clothing. And the colors worked splendidly together. All over, he couldn't help but speak up.

"Excuse me, Miss. Your costume, or rather your dress. I have to say, it's quite a beautiful and splendid piece. I've studied and done some Fashion & Design before, so I can't help but ask. Did you arrange your outfit and makeup yourself?"

Robin Hale

outfit

It was time to go to the pumpkin festival, Robin planned on going alone, however Killian was free to go with her.

The blonde got dressed in a white and green gown; it was from a movie she absolutely loved as a kid, right before she stopped believing in fairy tales. The blonde didn't even need a wig, her hair was already blond enough for the costume.

Robin looked at herself in the mirror; she met up Killian as his shop, she knew it would be ridiculous going to the valley to get back to the city, but she told Killian she was going to get him, so she decided to get him at his shop.

Once both back in the city, Robin walked into the bar, she wasn't there to compete, she was there to have fun.

Evie had already begun to relax as liquid courage ventured further past her lips. Though it wasn't enough for her to act like a disheveled fiend, not yet anyway. So far it was just her, the wine, and the multiple conversations surrounding her. Not to mention that since Evie was on her way to feeling comfortable, she had the opportunity to look over all the costumes present. A pirate was seen making rounds, a wolf...well, being a wolf. She didn't know if that was just the costume, or the man behind it that gave off that particular menacing air. The type of menacing that had mothers warning their daughters.

Evie hummed and looked on to view the others, especially the barechested magnet wearing man in the crowd. Evie sputtered on her drink as it dawned on her what the costume was supposed to be. She laughed softly to herself and shook her head when droplits of wine made it down her chin.

She moved to turn, trying to clean herself up before anyone could really see. Unfortunately for her though, someone had already found her and she nearly bumped into him. Not to mention he looked quite startling, maybe a little scary at first. Evie let out a tiny "oh," and quickly grabbed a napkin from the counter of the bar. With a quick dab or two, she cleaned up whatever wine had slid down her mouth and chin.

"I'm...I'm sorry, I almost got you dirty."

Just her luck if she had.

"And thank you, that's so kind of you to say. I'm...well. I'm supposed to be the Cosmos," she added shyly. Her gown still seemed so beautiful, especially with the dim lighting of the bar. Whatever gleam the crystals could get was captured, creating a shine that rivaled the stars.

Evie smiled brightly through her half veil, and continued to speak with a nod.

"I make everything I own in my shop. The makeup took practice though, I wasn't sure I could pull it off." She shrugged slightly and lowered her gaze into his own clothing. It was a spectacular display of color and lines. She could tell it must have took him ages to get everything done. She was impressed, now that she wasn't freaking out.

"Your costume is unique and beautiful as well. Did you do that yourself?" With the question repeated, but for him, she waited for his input with a tilt of her pretty little head. Her eyes were left wide with interest, and her wine rested carefully upon her fingers, the edge of the flute barely touching her lips.

[ TAG - Lisbeth, open ]

Penny hadn't even realised Ender was here. Since when was she searching for that little fuck in crowds? No, she thought Lisbeth was just being fun and flirty and affectionate because she loved her. Would Penny be hurt to find she was being used on a pawn in a game between two horny assholes? Were you kidding? If Penny knew what Lisbeth was up to, she'd have pulled her top off and really given Ender a show.

They parted once more (oh, what sweet sorrow), and Lisbeth caressed her lips with a finger.

"Penny, m'dear, can I get you a drink?"

"Red wine,"
Penny replied without needing a second to think. It was always her go-to drink, and any of her good fuck buddies knew that Penny could be sweetened up with a little glass of red.

"In this town we call home, everyone hail to the pumpkin song"
[ TAG - Oliver, open ]

Marina only simpered at Oliver after his question. She placed a hand on Miles' upper arm as if to reassure him, but Miles was too busy rolling his eyes. He was long since used to him friend's lustful antics. College, for the two of them, had been very different experiences. Miles had been educated in business, and Oliver had been educated in business and a little anatomy.

Miles eventually returned Marina's touch, interlocking his fingers with hers as he sipped a little of his whiskey. He'd specified this particular brand be on offer, not so much in thought of others so much as for himself. Miles didn't drink often, weaker than a teenage giggly girl when it came to holding his alcohol, but when he did he was particular about what he drank.

With the way Oliver's eyes wandered the room, the guy having a knack for making eye contact with hotties, it was clear what he was after.

"Looking for a playmate?"
asked Marina, amused. Her tone was still flirtatious - that was simply her relationship with Oliver. He was the best friend of her boyfriend, which meant he was off-limits. Perhaps that boundary was kept in place more firmly by Oliver rather than Marina, though, who often crossed lines.

"The night is young and it appears we already have drunken friends loving on one another."

The chatter in the room had quietened, but it was still busy. People were just busy getting touchy and feelsy now instead.

"I think I know exactly who my targets this evening will be."

"Oliver used attract,"
Miles commented sarcastically.

"It's not very effective,"
Marina finished, slyly pointing at the mermaid she'd seen Oliver flirting with earlier and who was now busy canoodling up to the chief of police.

"Looking for a playmate?" Oliver grinned as he saw Celeste otherwise distracted now from Penny, who still had her lovely lady friend with her. "More like waiting for my playmate to become available," he said, turning for another drink from the bartender as he finished off his first.

He had gotten less than a pleasurable response from the little mermaid that had been hanging around, and he ignored his friends' comments about the matter. What was important was that his darling little devil was totally free now, having been left completely alone by previous company.

"Don't worry Marina, a Triston man is never down for long. You might want to watch and see how a real man sweeps a woman off her feet, Miles."
With that said, Oliver made his way over to the blonde, snaking his hand around her waist as he came up next to her. "Hello my sexy little devil. You didn't think you could avoid me all evening, now did you?"

Robin wanted to attend the party in Westhaven for the Pumpkin Festival and Killian offered to attend, even though there was a risk the pirate would make an appearance. Killian could have even just wore the pirate costume he already owned, but they decided to do a matching costume from an old story Robin loved. She was the princess to his prince, something he had always wanted.

She met him at the shop and together they went to the party, though he didn't plan to stay too late. When they arrived he saw the sheriff that had arrested him before, and no doubt if he spotted Killian, he would be on high alert. He didn't want to end up in jail again because of the pirate.

Killian wasn't sure what to do. There was music playing, but no one was dancing yet. Maybe just a drink for now? "Would you like something to drink?"
