[WEDNESDAY AUTUMN 30TH, 10PM - 3AM, BELHAM BAR]

A night of spooks and ghouls, the Pumpkin Festival is a night celebrated by kids to go trick or treating for candy at the neighborhood houses. They dress in costume, traveling in packs from house to house in hopes for that they will get their favorite chocolate bar. Residents stock up on treats so to ensure the children don't play a trick on their houses.

For adults, it's a night of excessive drinking in costume. Many flock to the local bars to participate in the local costume contest, and dance the night away.

This year's event is hosted at none other than Belham. The bar interior has been done up with orange lights, and orange and black streamers zigzag their way across the ceiling. All drinks are free, paid for by sponsorship from Oliver Triston and Miles Fenton, our hosts for the evening, and the bar is being managed by the usual bartenders, all done up in revealing costumes (Triston's doing no doubt). Guests arrive done up in their best costumes in hopes to take home the prize for their costumes.

COSTUME CONTEST

Anyone attending the shindig at Belham Bar is more than welcome to participate in the costume contest. Just be sure to get your entry in on time to ensure your participation.

Rules:
    1) No photo links to outfits. This point of the contest is to display your attention to detail and your ability to describe a scene. Entries with links to photo references will be disqualified.

    2) All votes will be based on the membe'rs ability to describe their character's costume through their writing. Costume descriptions should be made clear to the reader and stand out from the post (either by coloring, bolding or putting into a quote box).

    3) Members will have until March 21st to submit their entries for the contest, with voting beginning the following day.
Members will be able to vote for costumes in two categories:
    MOST CREATIVE COSTUME
This costume is unexpected, and has obviously had a lot of work and detail gone into it.The person wearing this costume found an incredibly creative way to bring it to life.
    MOST DARING COSTUME
The unexpected costume of the evening. This costume had heads turning due to its outlandish and over the top nature.
Voting will not begin until March 22nd and will run until March 25th at 11:59pm EDT. All votes for both categories are to be PMed to Belle.

WEDNESDAY FALL 30, YEAR ONE • NIGHT • CLOUDY • OUTFIT
"There's a devil in the corner, in candy apple red. Dressed up like a fire, burning through my head"
[ TAG - Open ]

Was dressing up as in a slutty devil costume for a Pumpkin Festival party cliché?

Yes.

Did Penny give a shit?

Absolutely not.

She was rocking this itty bitty dress, these knee-high red fishnets and glittery shoes, and the tiny little horns and wand. So what if there were a bunch of other females in the room dressed in their own variant of her outfit? Penny knew she looked the fucking hottest, like the devil herself had just risen up from the depth of hell to partaaaay. That wouldn't be too hard for some people to believe.

She wasn't the first to enter the bar but Penny wasn't late. She'd arrived ten minutes after the party had began, if you were watching the time. Late enough not to look too eager like a saddo, but early enough that she hadn't missed any of the fun.

Penny had already made friends with the free drinks table. She held a glass of beloved red wine in her hands. A sip of it had told her that this was no cheap shit, this was the expensive stuff. Figured, considering it had been provided by two of the richest men in Westhaven.

Ooh, how Penny hated Oliver Triston. The other name, Miles whatever, wasn't familiar to her, but that Triston one was way too familiar with Penny. Fuck that guy, whoever he was. He ought to have considered himself lucky that Penny didn't know his face and couldn't drag him down to the pits of hell with her, where he belonged.

For now, Penny stood in the centre of the room, clearly being flirtatious in how she simpered and winked at everybody that walked past. Male or female, they all looked simply divine tonight and Penny wanted them all.

Ender and Auden

The war that had erupted between the siblings earlier today hadn't been pretty. Auden had slaved for weeks, pricked her finger with needles countless times just to make them matching costumes. Only to be shot down before he even had a chance to try it on. She thought Uncle Sam and Lady Liberty had been a very witty idea for this years outfits. A lot of thought had gone into it, that and her literal blood, sweat snd tears. All that, and it only took him one glance to write it off. She was mad, more than mad, livid at her brother. The only conversation they'd had all day was when she had asked him to zip her dress up after rolling all over the bed and slamming her elbow against the wall trying to do it for herself. She blamed him for that too.

Auden looked the part. She painted her face green and squeezed her slender body into a form fitting gown. Her long golden brown locks were pinned tightly in an updo. Her favorite part of the costume was the seven point crown and torch she made entirely out of cardboard and tape. After forming the right shapes she had spray painted them both that viridescent color you could only obtain from oxidized copper. To top it off she wore shimmery emerald colored heels on each of her dainty feet. This was close enough. Hopefully people would still get it, despite her brothers rebellion to wear his American flag pants and white fluffy beard. Lady Liberty would have to stand alone tonight, at least after Ender helped zip up her dress. Once the deed was done, she could go back to giving him the silent treatment.

"You look like a goblin." he said with a sneer. He rested one hand on the girls shoulder as he zipped and fastened the back of her dress. "Well, you look like an ass!" she hissed at him, turning to face him. She smacked him in the chin with her faux torch. So much for silence. Nothing like a little love-hate sibling bickering to get the evening going. "... And what are you supposed to be anyway! Hello my name is 'T'?" she asked in a mocking tone, pointing to the sticker positioned to the right of his chest. He was dressed in his normal attire other than that tiny detail. Ender looked down to where she had gestured and grinned smugly at his younger sibling. "T. Basco. Get it?" Auden sighed heavily. He was too corny for his own good. "Well now I do. You're going to have to explain that one to people, unless you want them to call you 'Tender' all night long." her frown suddenly twitched into a mischievous grin. Ender's face dropped. He hadn't thought about that. The last thing he wanted was the other party goers thinking that is the pun that he intended. She was right, he would have to do a lot of explaining this evening. "Whatever you ghoul. Are you ready to go or what? Or did you need some time to smear a little more goop on your face?" Instead of arguing with him any further she simply nodded and headed out the door. Ender followed close behind, patting Nylah on the head one last time before locking the door behind him.

By the time the two arrived the bar was already getting packed. Ender made a b line for an empty table off to the side. Auden in all her green glory went straight to the bar to order her first shot of the night.

Which one, which one? Celeste had two beautifully well laid-out costumes for her to decide from. Did she want to sail the seven seas and plunder the wine table for its treasures or did she want to clean away the pests that crawled around and rid the gathering of its filth? Her fingers traced her painted crimson lips as her sapphire eyes danced between the two outfits. This festival was one where a woman could show their beauty and reveal their body to the world around without shame. Celeste was proud of her body, her stomach was thin and her waist curvy so revealing her stomach would not be something she'd hesitate. It seemed, though, Celeste's eyes weren't ever leaving the crimson and gold ruffled dress that sat nestled on the duvet with its partners: A black vest coat with a rather large V cut down the very centre and accompanied with a black belt and black buckle. Removing most of her clothes (With the exception of some skin-coloured underwear) Celeste placed on the crimson, ruffled dress and twirled around at the mirror; feeling her dress lift up and reveal the black lace that hugged the very bottom layer. Fixing the dress and sorting out the golden ribbon that crossed over in multiple rows against her chest, the blonde's body felt tight in the bodice of the dress; almost hard to breath. Adjusting the ribbons, Celeste nodded when she had decided on a perfect fit. Now it was not too tight, not too loose but enough to give a good view of her cleavage.

Fingers tracing the vest coat and following over the golden, intricate embroidery, Celeste stuck her hip out to the side and watched the ruffled red and black-striped dress hem shift in a brief sway to the side followed by the small ribbon that was attached to the side. Nodding to how decent the dress looked on her, Celeste turned to face the boots that sat sprawled out on the edge of the bed and the hat that rested on top with a small bag filled with fake 'PoE'. (Piece of Eight)
Leaning over and holding the back of her dress so it didn't reveal more of her thighs than it was already, Celeste picked up the hat and placed it on her dirty blonde hair. Fingers adjusting the golden ribbons that snaked around the rim of the tricorne hat alongside some black feathers and fluff. Nothing like that getting stuck on your fingers and in your drink, Celeste smirked. It could be used as a formidable weapon alongside her plastic sword which would probably stay hooked to her hip throughout most of the festival. Not like she's going to see anyone that would make her take her sword from its sheath, but it was a ready in case.

Slipping on the detached sleeves and tightening the golden ribbons that coiled around them, Celeste moved in a circle once more to get a better view of her dress so far before finally sliding on the black boots.  Now she was ready, the party better have rum and nobody would take it or burn it. She'd definitely wonder Why the rum's gone.

Making her way down the stairs and towards the foyer, Celeste was sure to glide into the car Jeeves had pulled out for her. With it being late in the night, Celeste could not wait to throw aside all things sane and just let her hair down quite literally.
Gazing into the mirror at her curled hair, Celeste's fingers traced through the glossy strands and watched as they bounced back into place over her chest. She was ready and she knew she'd meet Kyle there, she had promised him she'd be there at the wine table ahead of time.

Finally, the car pulled up and Celeste left without another word.
"Out on the endless ocean," Celeste hummed as she walked in a little merry bounce towards the wine table. "We tear along the gales, with rum inside our bellies warm and freedom in our sails ~" When arriving at the wine table, Celeste's fingers traced the glasses which sat in a pyramid right next to a fine selection of wine. Wine Celeste knew was made from the Westhaven scum. Wine that was so bad, but so good. So sinful yet so pleasing. Picking up the glass and pouring herself some fine red, Celeste's eyes fell upon the red she-devil. The queen devil of devils.
"My lovely sinful companion, isn't the day such a blessed one?" Celeste mused winking, a wide smile on her lips. "Who are ye going to lure into hell today? Perhaps we'll see our much less perfect Westhaven counterparts?"

:blue: :blue: :blue: :blue: :blue: :blue: :blue: :blue: :blue: :blue: :blue: :blue: :blue: :blue: :blue:

Kyle didn't mind dressing up. In fact, he found it fun to see how different things looked on him. If he did it right, he could also look quite feminine, as his late wife had once proven. Over the years, he has practiced many different things about fashion, and what he had for his costume now was one such thing.

Currently hiding his costume, he was wearing a yukata of black color theme with red flower patterns on it. Underneath, his real costume was one which took him almost the entire day to do since waking up. In his ash blonde hair, he used a type of chalk to color at the roots to a charcoal black, spreading the color about halfway down the length of his hair which had recently reached eye level. To add a bit of flare, used the dust of an indigo purple chalk to act like starlight among the black. The overall result was a black hair color with it fading to white towards the ends, at eye level at the front and resting on the neck at the back, with purple specks among the black. Some of the leftover ash blonde also had a tinge of grey as the chalk dust spread through it. For his eyes, he decided to use some special contacts. While his eyesight wasn't poor, he did have corrective lenses. These specials ones were simply ones he had a strong interest in when he saw them.

His hair was parted so that his right eye was exposed while the left was partially covered. In his right eye, he wore a contact which had a luminescent, indigo purple eye color which stood out as it contrasted his nearly pale complexion. In his left eye, the contact was one which covered the sclera of the eye, the white parts. Changing that color to a black, the iris was instead a golden yellow which contracted well with the black of the sclera and his own darkened hair. From there, he had applied foundation to his face to both turn his complexion a shade whiter, while providing a base for the face paint he had applied. For his face, he had first applied makeup and eyeliner to make his eyes stand out using black, as well as a soft black eye shadow on the left eye, leaving only eye liner on the right eye.

For his face paint, he applied a charcoal black coloring around his left eye, using thin wavy lines coming from his hairline towards it rather than all around, making it appear as if there were a multitude of strands of darkness trying to latch on to his eye, or perhaps even the cause of the black sclera. The same lines could be seen snaking their way up the left side of his face from his neck, becoming thicker towards where it seemed to originate from, located on his heart. All over his body, he had applied a base foundation to turn his skin a shade lighter, and then began coloring over it using body paint and body markers and chalk.

Starting with his torso, he had drawn on what looked like bandages, wrapping around his chest and left shoulder as if he had a large wound under it. Some of the bandages had a tinge of black, and from underneath them, those black strans reached up his neck, and spread out down to his midriff, and across his upper arms and back. This had taken the most time, since doing anything on his back required quite the amount of flexibility. Over top of his heart, he made use of the uneven skin caused by his scar and colored them black, appearing like a black hole in his body. This was the source of all the black threads that he had painted on his body. Down his left arm, he had black strands, almost like vines, spreading out towards his wrist, with a few purple strands here and there. Throughout all the black he had applied thus far, he made sure there were some strands of purple.

On his right arm, he had the black strands only on the upper arm as he had scales painted on the back of his right hand reaching up the forearm, with a few scales mixed in among the black and purple strands. For his legs, he had the same ash grey scales with hints of black, and these reached up to his thigh from his feet. On the other leg, he had left it bare. For the final touches, he had painted bandages on his right forearm and left leg in several places to make it look like he had attempted to bandage the scales, while they had also broken and ripped through some of it. His entire left forearm and hand was then painted to look like he had bandaged it all up, and that the black and purple strands were crawling over them.

For accessories, he decided to wear an earring on his right ear which looked like a bright ice blue tear drop, and then a blood red choker on his neck. Wherever he had bandages on his body, he also wrapped some actual bandages of matching colors onto him without covering much of his actual body paint. This made it look like some of the bandages were hanging loosely or falling off. On his left arm, over the bandages, he wrapped around a silver chain securely to make it look like a seal, holding his bandages in place. To finish, he wore a few bobby pins in his hair, blood red in color, in a few random spots to look more like they were hanging there rather than managing or styling his hair. And then, on to his clothes.

The only things Kyle is wearing over his body paint, is black underwear, black skin-tight short-shorts which looked more like professional swimwear, and on his feet were geta/wooden sandals of black color, and the straps being red. Around his hips, he wore a sort of lava-lava, or sarong. Using a triangular piece of cloth instead of rectangle, he wrapped it around his hips at the belt line so that on his left side, the gap in the material allowed his leg to pass through, while the rest of it went down to his knee. He did this in two layers. He had a black cloth which had frayed edges, and then over top of that was a purple silk, likewise with frayed edges, and smaller in size than the black cloth to make the black peek out from underneath it. This was the entirety of his outfit.

With so much skin exposed, despite a lot of it being painted over, one could clearly see his toned muscles despite his thin build. He had taken a while in the mirror to correct his posture, voice, habits and expressions, also serving to wait for everything to dry and set in. It wouldn't crust at all since he hadn't done layers too thick, and not used the type of body paint that would flake. As long as it didn't get hot like on an extreme summers day in the sunlight, it wouldn't start to smudge and distort. It was also water proof, so it would only effectively come off by using a special removal oil and then soaking in a bath afterwards. For his posture, instead of having a laid back and gentle attitude, he was now adorning an intimidating and somewhat dignified persona, with some mysterious subtleties visible. Instead of his slow and gentle voice, he had a masculine and dark tone. Then for his facial expression, it was one of probing, almost glaring at those he gazed at.

Driving to the venue, Kyle parked a reasonable distance away in a safe place. Better safe than sorry. After getting out, he took off his yukata and left it in his locked car as he walked into the venue with a sort of haughty attitude, but still retaining a dignified yet mysterious appearance. Looking at those in the room, he could see that there were a large variety of costumes being worn so far. Though for himself, he was probably among one of the most outlandish. Or unique.

"Let's go wait over there."

Tonight, Kyle had brought Artemisia with him. She didn't really seem to care what she wore, so he simply dressed her up in a sort of bunny dress. With white hair clips holding her bangs out of her eyes, a white ribbon bow on top, he finished the hairstyle with long white bunny ears. For her dress, he made a white one piece sailor uniform type of outfit, complete with a yellow bow. For footwear, she had dark brown loafers and black thigh high socks. To make sure they didn't slip, he helped her apply some specialized paste from a stick which would stop them from slipping down her leg unless she pulls them down herself. For a finishing touch, he had applied some light make-up such as a thin black eye liner, a light pink eye shadow, and a pink blush on her cheeks.

Spotting the wine table that Celeste had indicated would be where they would meet, he started walking towards it as he saw a skimpy female pirate talking with something that was like a female devil? He wasn't sure what that one was. It could very well be a wingless imp. Shrugging, he kept up his attitude as he walked towards the table, and not directly towards the two of them. Since he knew it would be alcoholic, Kyle spoke to Arte and told her not to drink any since it was alcoholic, and that he would make her something nice in return if she behaved. While it seemed like treating her like a child, it was more so looking out for her.

No doubt, his costume, or rather his lack thereof due to it all being quite the detailed body art, would draw attention. As he reached the table, he recognized the Pirate to be Celeste whom he was attending with, and the other to be someone he didn't have a good relationship with. But... he was currently in costume. On top of that, he was using a different personality. It could be interesting to mess with her while he isn't his usual gentle self. That said, what was he anyway? He didn't really decide on what he was, and just threw things together from the top of his head. Once at the wine table, he just stood there with his arms crossed and straight back, chin slightly up and lips at his costume's resting face of a slight glare as he looked around.

With his black contact left eye covered by his hair, even the wavy black strands were mostly hidden behind that charcoal black and ash blonde hair which had slight tints of purple. His exposed right eye locked on to Celeste who was to his side, and he to hers. That radiant indigo purple orb. Now to see if she could recognize him. After all, most of his body had been painted over, including his scar, hair and eyes. His complexion was also paler thanks to the foundation and base he applied everywhere.

With Artemisia by his side, he would probably be figured out by Celeste, who had met her several times, but it was worth a try since he looked to different. Celeste and Artemisia had met several times when the former visited or stayed a night. While their relationship was more like that of an adult trying to remain passive with a child, they had both seen the more personal sides of each other. Celeste becoming relaxed around Kyle and showing Arte a more friendly and happy self, especially after having her tension released from a massage. And then Arte warming up to her enough to speak to her and follow her around and copy her instead of doing that to Kyle.

As a side note, Artemisia got interested in the massage Kyle gave Celeste, and insisted on one as well. She was asleep from being so relaxed by the end of it. Remembering this, Kyle's costume expression twitched as he nearly smiled when thinking back on it.

Oliver Triston
Autumn 30, Year One֎ Late Evening ֎ Cloudy
user posted image

Oliver hadn’t planned the event, but he had sponsored it, so he wanted to see his money being put to use. Also the Pumpkin Festival meant plenty of females in skimpy costumes for him to ogle and go home with later tonight. He was hoping he’d see a particular female whom he’d had had plenty of exciting nights with in the past. He wondered what costume she’d draped on that perfect little frame of hers.

Oliver had gotten a little daring in his costume choice for this year’s festival. He went topless, displaying his well defined torso. But it was what was draped on his torso that was drawing eyes to it. Around his neck was a giant red u-shaped object. Each end was colored in silver to represent a magnet. Attached to each end of the magnet were three stuffed cat heads. The costume was crude, but it depicted Oliver to a tee. He was, at least in his mind, a chick magnet, or in this case a pussy magnet. To cover his bottom half, he simply wore jeans and some casual shoes.

He stood near the bar with Miles and Marina as he watched people come and go as he sipped his jack and cola. The very woman he wanted to schmooze with walked into the bar - wearing a gorgeous shade of red - and Oliver was ready to excuse himself from Miles and Marina to flirt with her, but she was soon accompanied by the real devil, Ms. Alberona. There was no way he wanted to deal with that woman, not until he had a few drinks in him at least, so he would keep his distance for now, and hope she would spot him and leave the vile woman soon.

“The costumes get skimpier and skimpier every year,” Oliver mused before taking a sip of his drink. “Maybe next year some women will get brave and come nude,” he said with a grin.

[ TAG - Celeste, Kyle, Artemisia ]

There was no better companion than a fellow devil and Penny licked her lips when Celeste approached. She got a laugh out of seeing the pirate outfit, gleefully thinking about how Celeste was, in essence, a pirate in reality. She stole money from the city and gave it to the valley. Penny loved it.

“Any day where I can show off my crown jewels-“
Penny gestured to her chest where only a tiny bit of red fabric maintained whatever modesty she had. “-is a blessed day indeed.”

“As for who I’ll lure into hell? Well, if I happen to see some old, fat man by the name of Oliver Triston, I think I’ll drag him down with me. I’ll captivate him with my darling face and hot body, then throw him into the fire, where he belongs.”

“Ah,”
Penny sighed. “That’ll be a fucking great day."

Another familiar face approached, but this one wasn’t liked.

Penny had forgotten about this little dickhead, but seeing him made all the memories of the Harvest Festival come back to her. Two weeks was a long time, and Penny’s day, though it had started out horribly, had ended so divine. That was what lust did for her – made her feel so good that she didn’t even so much as scowl when Kyle came over. Penny just didn’t care. If anything, she was more interested in the girl tagging along with him.

“Oh, don’t you look so cuuute,”
Penny drawled. “I’ve always loved rabbits.”

"In this town we call home, everyone hail to the pumpkin song"
[ TAG - Oliver, open ]

Stood right next to the infamous Oliver Triston, nobody who glanced their way could tell that they weren’t in costume. All eyes were immediately on Oliver, or ‘the pussy magnet’, as he’d called himself. Marina had laughed and playfully punched his bare arm whilst Miles had just smirked and rolled his eyes.

Miles and Marina were dressed in ordinary clothing. Miles wasn’t particularly bothered about dressing up in costume and neither was Marina. They’d had a dinner reservation booked quite late, so they’d come straight from there. Consequently, Marina wore a little black dress whilst Miles sported a fresh suit. They were the odd ones out in a room full of skimpy outfits.

“The costumes get skimpier and skimpier every year,”
Oliver commented, causing Miles to raise one eyebrow in amusement as he looked at him.

“Uhuh, like you have room to talk,”
he said, tugging at one of the cat heads on his oversized scarf.

“Oh shush, Miles,”
Marina laughed. “I think he looks good.” She gave Oliver a flirty little smile and a wink in support.

“Maybe next year some women will get brave and come nude."

“I think the opposite applies too, you know. I bet the ladies are just dying, Oliver, dying for you to come nude. Now what a treat that would be for the eyes!”
Marina replied, swirling the little bit of white wine she had around in its glass.

| Kyle/Tarry // Celeste/Rii // Penny/Ethereal | belham bar | fall 30 | who the hell knows |

When Kyle and Celeste had mentioned to them about a party at the end of the month, Artemisia had pretty placidly agreed to go along. It was in the city, and they couldn't remember the city all that much - didn't even know that that was where they had originated from. But it sounded like a big, new, exciting prospect to them and they had been looking forward to it ever since the day it had been mentioned. They hadn't realised that they were supposed to dress up, and the rabbit ears were somewhat itchy on their head alongside their usual ribbon bow, but when they looked in the mirror, they decided that they did look pretty cute.

They were pretty content just tagging along behind Kyle and Celeste, much preferring to just hang about by themselves and see what was going on rather than being shoved about in between them. Arte did have the unfortunate position of being much shorter than the both of them and being pretty easy to squash if they walked ina three, so they had just learned to walk behind them and keep up. The bar they were going to already seemed pretty lively, and Arte was looking forward to just drinking lemonade. They liked lemonade quite a lot.

It was soon enough when a new person approached the trio, and Arte looked up at the woman in the red outfit who apparently, was speaking to them. Arte peeked their head out from behind Kyle and looked up at the new person in nothing more than utter confusion. How were they supposed to address this situation, exactly?

"Um. Thank you?" they answered somewhat uncertainly, tugging at the dress in somewhat awkwardness. Now that they had seen the length of the new person's skirt, they were awfully aware that theirs might even be a little too short. They didn't want to be stared at the same way that she was.

She had to be honest, Lisbeth didn't really give a fuck about any costume contest.

She had talked to Penny about it a while ago and they had both decided on what kinds of outfit to go for, even though it was pretty obvious that they would be pulling that kind of stunt from the beginning. Basically going for the slutty as possible look and seeing how many people they could get staring at them by the end of the night.

Lisbeth had opted for a maid outfit approach, as opposed to the devilish approach that Penny had taken, as appropriate as it may have been. She much preferred the sexy short skirts and the low cut tops with lace tights and a small headdress that made her look like one of those girls from the kinky comics or something along those lines. That, and she also knew Ender was going. Part of it was to try and make him as jealous as possible just for a kick out of it, but she was going to have her fun times with Penny all the same. That, and it was just a bit of banter.

Sauntering into the bar and turning some heads was easy enough. She managed to turn even more heads when she saw her best friend, and practically bellow out over the din. "Penny!" She pushed her way through, expertly skilled in the ridiculous heeled shoes she was wearing (it made her that little bit taller, really) over to her friend. And, ignoring the three that she had been talking to, just turned her round and gave her a kiss on the lips.

If she had to be honest, she hadn't seen Ender yet. But she hoped he noticed. It was funny. That, and kissing Penny was always a treat.

It was always a pleasure to see Penny, especially when Penny had obviously been scheming. Celeste was here waiting for her date and their little family friend (whom Celeste had grown very fond of.) so what a way to spend the time? Placing the wine down briefly, Celeste decided to pay full attention to the woman and a good thing she did.

"Any day where I can show off my crown jewels-“ ....And there was the boob pointing, "-is a blessed day indeed.” Celeste just smirked and groped the woman, a laugh escaping her lips.
"That is true," Celeste responded as she released, pulling the top of her sleeveless shirt down slightly to reveal a little more of her already revealed cleavage. "I'm proud of my own jewels too, they certainly do attract a few eyes if my face does not." Her reddened lips formed a smirk as she watched the woman in front of her.

"As for who I’ll lure into hell? Well, if I happen to see some old, fat man by the name of Oliver Triston, I think I’ll drag him down with me. I’ll captivate him with my darling face and hot body, then throw him into the fire, where he belongs.” Her words made Celeste laugh, covering her mouth with her fingers.
"Oh, imagine that! Make sure he says hello to Davy Jones for me, I beg of ye. Ensure him that it is not my time yet." Celeste moved her hand to her plastic sword. "Perhaps I should skewer him first?"

"Ah, That’ll be a fucking great day." Celeste just nodded in response, her eyes shifted towards the group around them.
Sure enough two bodies appeared behind the two women. Celeste turned around, looking the two up and down before registering who they were.
Artemisia was adorning rabbit ears which meant that if they were here then the person beside them was... Celeste looked him up and down before shifting her attention towards Penny.
"Oh, don’t you look so cuuute,” Penny's attention was on poor Artemisia. "I’ve always loved rabbits.”

Snaking her arms protectively around Artemisia and glancing over at Penny, Celeste's lips formed the smirk once more and she rested her chin on top of their head.
"Sorry, Penny my love. This rabbit is property of Celeste Alberona." Leaning up straight again, Celeste winked and then watched as someone new arrived to the small gathering of people completely ignoring Celeste, Kyle and Artemisia.
The next thing she knew, Penny was kissed on the lips by this stranger and Celeste rolled her eyes; her breast groping was much more appropriate.
Pulling the hat down over her head slightly, Celeste's eyes scanned the crowd for anyone interesting and to scout out any other women who could possibly beat them in a slut-off.

In the distance she caught sight of some interesting individuals.
A man and a woman were stood dressed up in decent looking attire next to a half-clad man who..
"What on earth is that deranged person wearing?" Celeste mused a little out loud, her hand snaking out to grab Penny's arm. "Look over there, Penny. That moron is wearing a magn-" Celeste had to get a double take. "Well, well, well..." A small chuckle escaped the woman's throat. Releasing Penny's arm, Celeste folded her own and tilted her head.
"Penny, it seems today is the perfect day to drag Mr. Triston to hell. He has arrived wearing a magnet around his neck... Here I was thinking he couldn't look any more ridiculous than he did already. I forget that he has no dignity. Oh well! I feel so bad for the woman who are attracted to him and bed him tonight." Whirring around to ignore him, Celeste's eyes fell on Kyle; now to address the most important person.

"Mr. Weisser, just what are you wearing! I get this a costume gathering, but I've never seen anything like this." Circling him, Celeste's sapphire eyes examined him before dropping her gaze to the rabbit-eared individual. "I can definitely say you two would win the competition of most stand-outish costume next to bozo over there." Gesturing with her thumb towards Oliver, Celeste's eyes fell on Kyle's and she smiled warmly. "I guess I prefer your costume over his any day."

QUOTE

In a town filled with nothing, there was a great deal of absolutely nothing to do. Business had been a little slower than she would have liked, and she could only keep herself entertained with upkeep for so long. In addition there was a dark cloud looming over the coming days; soon winter would be here. Never in her life had she experienced the 'snow' she had heard so much about. A few days ago Bellamy had called and inquired as to how she was going to take it and if she was prepared. How was one supposed to prepare for something they had never experienced?

It had occurred to her then that perhaps she should take the initiative and shop for clothes that covered more than her lady parts. Coats, scarves, and snow boots hadn't even been part of her vocabulary before walking into a small shop in Westhaven. The sales associate had looked at her like she was an absolute moron for not understand how to dress for when the weather wasn't its best. After being slightly discouraged due to sneers and sarcasm, Brine went about the store on her own. There was no need for her to put up with snooty northerners acting like 'everyone knows what snow is'. It was then amongst a rack of colorful jackets of every material that she overheard an interesting conversation between two customers.

The two women were clucking like chickens to one another about some grand party going on at Belham Bar that evening. It turned out that the one hadn't even bought a costume yet. The other was patting her back saying that she would surely find something before it was time. After that Brine sort of zoned out. So focused on 'grand party' and 'free booze', she hadn't noticed that the two women were staring at her. Eavesdropping wasn't exactly encouraged, and she should have been stealthier about it. The small town had made her lazy.

Her ideas of new winter apparel left behind, Brine sought out from the store towards more interesting shops. Most likely there would be plenty of women at the bar thinking that their costume showed just enough skin to still be considered good company rather than a trollop from the streets. Brine herself planned on taking the bolder approach. After visiting the local lingerie boutique and craft supply stores, the blueberry made her way to the nearest hotel. Most likely she could have convinced that officer of hers to let her take over his bed again for the evening, but most likely he would be on duty considering the party might cause a few uproars. Poor guy was never going to get a life if he didn't reach out and take it.

Luckily there were still a few rooms available. If she had waited much longer there was a chance that she would have been shit out of luck with no where to put her costume together or worse...sleep (yeah right...Nylah wouldn't let her sleep outside). Once inside the small room that felt nothing like home, Brine began to work on her creation. Sequins, ribbon, and netting lie scattered across the bed as if someone had tried to make confetti and failed miserably. Luckily after hours of gluing and some light needlework (rough needlework), she was standing in front of the large bathroom mirror looking not half bad. Starfish clung to her hair like they were her own children, her skin bare and glowing against various shades of the ocean, and netting laced with pearls acted as a slight covering of her torso. 'Slight' being a generous word. Knowing there was a chance to meet some bashful strangers sent her blood pumping. There was no way she was leaving until she had successful caused trouble in one form or another.

Last time she had been in this bar it had been busy; this time 'busy' had a whole new meaning. It looked like the whole damn city had shown up in support of the festival of cleavage and booze. Boy was she glad that she had overheard those two chickens clucking earlier. How nice it was to see so many beautiful bodies in one place. Luckily with all the slight nakedness around, body heat was keeping the place at a nice temperature. When leaving the hotel earlier she had slight concerns that she might end up with a cold by the end of the night. Autumn wasn't exactly the season to run around town in a glorified swimsuit.

Taking a moment to look around at all the party goers, the mermaid realized that she didn't seem to recognize anyone...which meant it was time to grab a drink. On her way to the bar she noticed some rather...interesting costumes. Some idiot thought he was clever with magnets and kittens wrapped about him. Sure he was attractive, but most likely the bloke had a tiny magnet hidden in his pants...if one could even manage to find it. Brine looked at him with a smirk until her chuckle released itself. The night hadn't even really begun and she was already feeling on this level.

Stopping dead in her tracks, Brine couldn't believe her eyes. There..sitting at a table was someone she definitely didn't expect to see. Walking up behind him, Brine wrapped her long bronzed arms around to cover his eyes with her hands. Her lips came down next to his ear before she whispered "Yuletide came early officer," and with that...she forced herself in front of him so that she could straddle his waist. "Santa sent you a mermaid!" Looking around at the empty seats she pouted. "Please tell me you aren't over here bottled up and alone li-?" Her words got lost in her throat as she noticed the large 'T' on his shirt. Her finger soon found the letter and prodded at his chest. "Are you trying to refer to yourself as tender? I mean...Nylah would probably be the tender one since you refuse to cuddle"

There was a chance that she had been speaking a little too loud, but hopefully music would drown out whatever anyone didn't want to hear. Not that she really gave a damn as to what ideas people had floating around in their heads.

Ender watched as more and more people filed it. He was thankful they'd gotten to the party early, he'd managed to snag a table for his own, and so far so good. No one had even attempted to strike up a conversation with the cop. Perhaps it was the way he was glaring at a particular person across the room. The devil herself. He wasn't surprised she'd come dressed like such a whore. Anything for some attention, which he didn't plan on giving her the least bit tonight. He'd let her get the best of him at the last gathering, and ended up causing a bit of mischief for more than his target. This time, he would keep to himself, and he was doing pretty well. He shifted his eyes toward some of the other party goers, so it seemed most people had gone for the under dressed look. He still thought his costume was pretty funny. Funny enough that he wanted to tell at least one person about how great his idea had been. He searched the room. Maybe he really was in hell. Penny was here dressed as the devil and from what he could tell the only people he knew were ones he had no interest in drinking with. In fact, gathered all together by the table of booze were Miss Pippin, the elf of a man who had flicked him looking just as strange as before, and the woman that had spoken to him like a toddler at the festival just a few weeks ago. Apparently garbage liked to stick together. He exhaled heavily. So much for coming out to unwind. How come things never seemed to go his way? He met the bottom of his bottle. With a loud clank he set it on the table. Where had Auden gotten to? He studied the room, it shouldn't have been this hard to find someone painted bright green. However, the sea of bodies must have gobbled her up, because she was no where in sight.

He didn't want to move in fear of losing his seat. He had the perfect view. With his back almost to the wall it would be hard for someone to sneak up on him, and he could see the whole layout of the bar before him. There was no way he was getting up to search for his younger sibling, her whereabouts would have to remain a mystery. His brown eyes continued to scan the crowd when he heard a familiar voice call out. He couldn't quite make out what was said, but he turned just in time to see Lisbeth pushing through the crowd towards the middle of the room. Subconsciously he smiled, remembering the night they had shared not too long ago. This was the first time he'd seen her since then. She looked a little skimpy in her costume, but truth be told it actually covered more than her usual ensemble. Recalling the feeling of her warm skin against his own, he suddenly had a very good reason to give up his seat. Well, that was until he saw who she was sprinting towards so eagerly. Fucking bitch. He cocked his head curiously as he watched the two share an affectionate embrace. Okay, so what? The girl he happened to have his eyes on was friends with his enemy. Whatever. He could make his way over, and just ignore the wretch of a woman. There was enough people around to drown out her irritating voice. It would be fine. Or so he thought. He watched in horror as Lisbeth pressed her lips firmly against Penny's smug little face. Oh. A sharp pang of jealousy entered his chest like a knife. She might as well stabbed him herself. "What. The. Fuck." Ender blurted without thought, his knuckles turned white as he gripped the side of the table in front of him. His knees gave out, but luckily he'd been in a half standing position when he'd seen the two lock lips. He stared blankly at the wall next to him, his mind was racing. What now? He couldn't go over there, he couldn't even look in that direction again, he knew if he did there wouldn't be much that could keep him from marching over there and lashing out. Or puking. Why was he so upset? It wasn't like they had agreed on calling themselves a couple. He thought maybe they could be, but not now. Not ever. This was exactly why he didn't get attached to people. All they did was let him down.

Another beer, that is what he needed. He put his hand up to flag a server, when suddenly he felt a warmth behind him. His first thought was Auden had returned. He lowered his hand and stiffened up once he realized that wasn't the case, until he heard a voice, sweet like honey, whisper in his ear. "Yuletide came early officer," Totally not his sister. Now that person was on his hips, looking back at him. Ender felt his cheeks grow hot once he realized who the mysterious pair of hands belonged to. "Santa sent you a mermaid!" Now relieved, he was able to chuckle. Brine was possibly the only person here tonight that wasn't on his shit list. She really did look like a mermaid. Her blue hair, tanned skin, and shimmery outfit really looked convincing. He was admiring a little more than her costume when she spoke again. "Please tell me you aren't over here bottled up and alone li-?" She poked at the sticker on his shirt. His gaze shifted from her finger back to the silver pair of flickering eyes as she continued to tease him. "Are you trying to refer to yourself as tender? I mean...Nylah would probably be the tender one since you refuse to cuddle" It was loud, but she was very close. Her breath felt hot as it mingled against his cheek, but it only added to the heat he was already feeling there. "Ahem. You are the one who passed out before we could have any fun, you stole my bed and my dog. You are cold-hearted Brine Ghallen." He said with a smirk. "Besides." He added snaking his arms around her tiny, toned waist and pulling her gently downward so his lips met her ear. "Isn't this better than cuddling?" He didn't care who saw them. He had given a small, fragile piece of his heart to Lisbeth, and in return she had left him with nothing but an aching hole in his chest. A hole that hurt more than any bullet could, he knew that first hand. To love him was to love a haunted house, fun to visit once a year, but no one wants to live in a house that is haunted. He just thought maybe this time things were different. Idiot.

With Kyle standing there waiting, he didn't want to interrupt. Though given his current costume, it would probably fit him better if he did. But he didn't want to cause Artemisia any trouble. He had noticed now and then that when they were together with Celeste and himself, they would feel like a third wheel. In more of a physical sense, being squished between them. And Celeste had taken quite the liking to her, treating her akin to a little sister she could cuddle and cherish and... one time, even dress up, once she had found Kyle's stash of women's clothing he had made himself.

The one Arte was currently wearing was one he had made himself as well. Though it was a long time ago, which was also why the skirt seemed shorter on her figure.

When he caught the eyes of Penelope looking in his direction, he kept up an impassive attitude. From how she reacted to him, she seemed to still hold a grudge, but wasn't looking to cash in at least. Seeing that, he simply shrugged and watched as she came wandering over, eyeing up Artemisia who was currently hiding behind him. Watching their interaction, Kyle just pet Arte while giving a wry smile, noticing how she was worried about the length of her skirt.

"It's fine, Arte. Me and Celeste will keep you safe and hide you whenever you want."

Kyle stated so with a reassuring smile to the girl of small stature while stroking her hair. As if on cue, Celeste came up from behind Arte and kept her close and safe. He was about to speak up again when someone else came rushing into the group and was quick to latch onto Penelope, giving the audience some nice service as their lips were pushed together. A devil and a maid. Sounded like a card game or something. With a wry smile, he couldn't help but sigh slightly since whatever bad mood there could have been was now effectively gone.

Watching the interactions of the two, his attention was brought back to Celeste as she spoke of a deranged person. Interesting in whoever she was talking about, considering she stopped mid-sentence and then chuckled, he looked over in the direction stated. Really? No seriously, really? Leaning down to Arte's ear, he placed a hand on her shoulder as he spoke in a low voice. "Stay away from that weird guy wearing a magnet around his neck. The red thing that looks like a 'U'. Okay?" Saying that, he stroked her hair again before standing up straight, just as Celeste whirled around and looked at him.

At her words, he raised the corner of his mouth into a light smirk while he lowered his chin, giving him a tinge of evil to his posture while he crossed his arms, standing somewhat haughtily. While she assessed and critiqued his outfit, he let out a dignified "hmph" sound. All part of his costume/act. After she pointed out that he was better over the other guy whom he wasn't acquainted with but was already disdainful of, he put on a scowling face as he spoke up.

"Hah. Of course This One would be better than one such as he, who knows not of what be important." He spoke with a rough yet formal voice, using a neutral, slightly raspy voice for his speech. Switching his scowl to one that was as if looking deeply into her eyes, Kyle appraised Celeste and her outfit. She sure did like to show off her assets. Ass-ets. And Treasure. Both of them. Well, not that he was complaining. After all, she was his for the meantime. With one hand, he wrapped it around her waist and pulled her in close, an evil smirk on his lips as he spoke with a bewitching voice.

"This One must say, for a pirate, you are careless to be leaving such treasure in the open, for the eyes of many to be laid upon. For, to their displeasure, this treasure is to be claimed by This One, who shall partake in such high class goods." With that, Kyle pulled their waists together as he stole a kiss, similar to the one that Lisbeth had just given Penny. He had gotten quite into character, and was having fun. It had been quite some time since he had last done this, after all.

Separating for a moment, he made sure he had an eye on Arte, glancing at her and petting her again while he took hold of Celeste's hand to keep her from escaping. "Though it must be said, to compare This One to that poor excuse for a human, you insult This One. Has pirating on the seas not made you delusional, Ms. Alberona?" His words were merely a play, but he kept in character as he put on a show of disappointment on his face with a tone of discontent. Though he immediately gave a light half smile of his usual character to let her know what he was doing.

"There's a devil in the corner, in candy apple red. Dressed up like a fire, burning through my head"
[ TAG - Artemisia, Celeste, Lisbeth ]

Something seemed off with the bunny chick, and Penny couldn’t put her finger on it. For Penny, her comment had been mild. A little bit of flirting had entered it, but not as in-yo-face as it normally would be. But it wasn’t her response that made Penny step back and decide to pursue meat elsewhere; it was the way she acted. There was shy, and then there was… this. For things she couldn’t understand, Penny didn’t bother trying to. Lisbeth soon came to spice things up, anyway.

“Beeeth!”
Penny called back, teetering on her tiptoes precariously to try and spot her short friend in the crowd. By the time Penny spotted her, Lisbeth had already charged over and slammed her lips up against Penny’s. Penny giggled into the kiss.

Now, despite Penny’s pretty open promiscuity, she had a few rules. One of them was that she didn’t toy with her friends… unless they toyed with her first. Lisbeth wanted to play tonight? Penny was game. It was always nice to get intimate with her best friend.

She was still giggling when Lisbeth pulled away and Celeste started tugging on her arm.

“Look over there, Penny!”

Penny didn’t look where Celeste wanted her to. She was too busy giving Lisbeth some serious eye contact as she narrowed the distance between their faces inch by inch.

Celeste started droning on about some guy wearing something or the other, and it was only the name Triston that sounded clearly over the buzz of chatter in the room simply because Penny hated it so. At any other time, her eyes would have been alight and her mouth would be ready to cause some chaos.

“Not now, Celeste,”
Penny waved the woman away. “Can’t you see I’m busy?”

And, with that, Penny lip-locked again with Lisbeth.

This was going to be a great night, she could feel it.

Gavin L. Shaw
WEDNESDAY FALL 30, YEAR ONE • NIGHT • SUNNY • OUTFIT
"I heard the piledriver waltz. It woke me up this morning"
[ TAG - Open ]

There was no better costume to represent Gavin – prisoner. Stuck in a noisy room, packed like sardines with people he didn’t know, this was his hell and he was trapped in it.

He hadn’t expected to be going out anywhere this evening. Gavin hadn’t even realised that it was the last day of Autumn. He hadn’t seen a calendar since the seventeenth. Lucy hadn’t told him anything about parties, and nothing about the particular party she’d wanted to drag him to.

She’d turned up at his apartment twenty minutes before said party was to begin. In the two hours since that man and his dogs (Gavin had never gotten his name), all Gavin had done was sit on his balcony and smoke and think. He’d been in the process of getting a new packet when Lucy had burst through the door, had shoved a lump of orange into his arms and had told him to go change. It was the reason why the only thing he had on his person right now was the same pack of cigarettes – that and she’d dragged him out without giving him chance to grab his keys and his wallet. He wouldn’t need them, she’d said.

The moment the flashes had stopped, Lucy had un-looped their arms and had ditched him. “Allie, hiii!” she’d chimed out, and then she’d disappeared into the crowd.

Gavin couldn’t stand to be in the centre of the room. This was no place for him. He began to push his way to the edges, forehead becoming a little sweaty.

When he pressed his back up against the wall, Gavin took a second to breathe before he took a cigarette and lit it. Even if the things were clogging up his lungs, Goddess he needed this.

In his brief break from reality, Gavin forgot he didn’t have an ashtray. He tapped his cigarette, sending ash spiralling down right into somebody’s drink. He immediately realised what he’d done.

“S-sorry, I’m so s-sorry…”

Oliver Triston
Autumn 30, Year One ֎ Late Evening ֎ Cloudy
user posted image

Oliver wished Celeste would leave the darling Penny’s presence. He quite enjoyed his time with the blonde bombshell. She wanted exactly what he wanted and nothing more. They both used each other for the entertainment and for their bodies. She was everything he wanted in a sexual partner.

“Uhuh, like you have room to talk.” Oliver grinned as he looked at his friend. “Oh shush, Miles. I think he looks good.” Oliver winked back at Marina before poking his tongue out lightly at his friend. “See Miles, the ladies love it. Tell me Marina, who looks better shirtless, me or lame Miles over here?” he asked pointing to his friend.

The outfits were skimpy, but some were just not skimpy enough. Oliver would like a few of the ladies to go a little more on the sexy side.

“I think the opposite applies too, you know. I bet the ladies are just dying, Oliver, dying for you to come nude. Now what a treat that would be for the eyes!” Oliver chuckled as he eyed a mermaid approaching him. “Well you know, one pull of a zipper and I can make that happen,” he said his eyes never leaving the smirking mermaid. He raised his eyebrows, asking the silent question of “like what you see” but the girl just chuckled at him before walking away. Oliver rolled his eyes, and focused back on his devilish goddess who was still in the company of the witch with a capital B, Celeste.

Though Oliver was glad he had his eyes that way because he got to see what all men loved. His darling goddess and a mystery woman had liplocked and seemed to be quite enjoying the feel of each other’s lips. He grinned as he watched the two. “The night is young and it appears we already have drunken friends loving on one another. I think I know exactly who my targets this evening will be.” Though Oliver had already had plans to whisk Penny away, maybe he could convince her friend to join them as well.

Evie had never been to one of these social gatherings, or done anything that could warrant leaving her home in such a tizzy. She felt utterly...scared! Her heart felt like it was going to explode, and her brain felt like mush. She couldn't fathom what she had done, and she even pleaded with herself to just turn around and march her little tush right back upstairs. She had work in the morning, patterns to sew and just an endless stream of calls to make. Evie froze in place and placed a hand on her chest, trying to calm herself, and succeeding. Her heart beat tapered off to its normal rhythm, and her arms stopped shivering in panic. Evie sighed and took a look in the mirror, breathing in everything that was her reflection. She started on her hair:

The usual hair style was no longer let loose, but was now placed in a stylish up do. She had a spiky bun, it's tendrils a little wild. Her front held two more tendrils, longer and curled so that each side cradled her rosy cheeks. The back of her hair, and the front left side held an intricate pin consisting of beautiful silver stars with a crystal center. Attached to the pin, was a small veil, barely reaching toward her cheek. The curvature of the veil was beautiful and delicate. Upon the veil itself, a gradient of purple crystals littered the bottom half in a small sparse, but grew with intensity as it reached the apex near the stars.

Upon her face, Evie had experimented with pinks, blues, purples and silver to recreate the cosmos upon her cheeks, eyes, and lips. It was a recreation of the sky, and a beautiful constellation rested upon her cheek. Each eye had it's own symmetrical tint of the colors, giving her a smokey and creative mapping of deep space. Speckled with a freckle of stars upon her cheeks helped to enhance the vision of interstellar exploration. Her lips were kept a light pink to match her hair and gradient cheeks. A choker rested just below her chin, a star centered right close, while smaller stars tapered off towards both sides of the collar.

Her clothing was next on her perusal. Evie opted with a figure hugging obsidian based gown with a deep exposed backing, while the front of the gown was completely modest, even with a rather slightly above average bust. A small opening was given upon the cleavage, offering a hint, but nothing more. The bottom of the dress held a slight train and was light purple in hue, but was easily hooked up with a small band to the wrist if it became too troublesome. In fact, doing so would expose a single leg only slightly in a tasteful fashion. Crystals were scattered about in beautiful array on that particular area, then lifted with a darker violet and lifted even further still until the colors ended in pure black near the chest. Purple, pink and silver crystals formed a further pattern of constellations on every stitch of the surface, furthering the idea of her costume. The last thing was the black stiletto heels with a star fastened on each shoe. The strap-y things were the only thing she liked about the outfit. The rest...well. She felt so...unusual. Out of place. Bold. She didn't like it. Despite being a fashion designer, she hated being in the spot light. That's why she felt so sick all of a sudden.

She should call it off. She shouldn't go....but then again, this was the perfect time to show off her gown. To subliminally advertise her work, and maybe, just maybe bring in some new clientele. She was new in town after all.

Maybe...if everything goes horribly array, she could just pretend that she was one of her mannequins and live the life of a true dummy.

Evie sighed once more, and shoved off, her small bag in tow. It didn't take long to get to her destination, it wasn't that far. A hop skip and a jump....and a few stares from the locals. You know, the usual?

A groan slowly began to build as she moved, her heels clicking with each slow tap toward the bar. It was only when she finally stopped by the door, did she completely freak out. Her eyes went wide and she saw her reflection, her eyes, hair, and dress. Oh god, she was so over the top. This wasn't good. She felt like a pompous fool. Her hands shook slightly, and she retracted a step, fighting the urge to put some more clothes on. Though, to be frank, this was the most modest dress she owned, and created. It was elegant, mature, and classy.

Still...wasn't this a little too much for a festival? OH GOD. Evie turned around, trying to gulp some air into her lungs, while also trying to appear normal.

"Breathe, Eve, breathe."

Evie turned around once she had herself under control, opened the door, and pushed herself inside with one fell swoop.
